Tan Twan Eng’s The House of Doors is the 2/1 favourite to win Booker Prize this year

Betting is now available for the 2023 Booker Prize Award, which is a literary award handed out every year for the best novel written in English that is published in the UK and Ireland.

This year's Booker Prize already has a clear favourite in the betting market with Tan Twan Eng’s The House of Doors 2/1 with bookmakers to be crowned winner.

Tan Twan Eng is a Malaysian novelist who has been nominated for all three of his novels now with The Gift of Rain longlisted in 2007 and The Garden of Evening Mists reaching the shortlist in 2012.

The latest betting odds now say that Tan Twan Eng will go one further this year by finally winner the Booker Prize with a 33% chance of winning the award judging by the odds.

The full longlist of 13 books has been announced earlier this month

The longlist for the 2023 Booker Prize was announced on August 1 with a total of 13 nominations including 10 first-time nominees.

When is the Booker Prize awarded?

The 2023 Booker Prize will be awarded in an event at Old Billingsgate, London, on November 26, 2023.

The 13 book longlist will be shortened down to six on September 21 with that shortlist given a further push before the main event 2 months later.

Mary Jean Chan, James Shapiro, Esi Edugyan, Robert Webb and Adjoa Andoh are the five Booker Prize judges this year.
