Laura Whitmore is 25/1 to host Big Brother after stepping down from role as Love Island host
Television presenter Laura Whitmore is now 25/1 to be the next host of the Big Brother reboot.
This comes after Whitmore left her role as presenter of Love Island earlier this week citing "new conflicting projects" as part of the reason.
Bookies make it just a 3.8% chance that presenting Big Brother's reboot is one of those new conflicting projects of Whitmore's.
Big Brother Reboot Presenter | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Rylan Clark-Neal | 8/11 | 57.9% |
Alison Hammond | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Maya Jama | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Mo Gilligan | 9/1 | 10.0% |
Kate Lawler | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Maya Jama was the latest market mover in the next Big Brother presenter odds going to 5/1, but has since drifted out to 8/1 in the market.
Rylan Clark-Neal still the 8/11 favourite to present the show
Rylan Clark-Neal remains the bookies favourite to host Big Brother, but has come in from the 1/4 he was at to 8/11 now.
Rylan is favourite to be host likely due to his previous ties with Big Brother as he presented spin-off Big Brother's Bit on the Side on Channel 5.
At odds of 8/11, bookmakers make it a 57% chance that he presents the reboot of Big Brother next year.
Big Brother set to return in 2023 on ITV as confirmed during last month's Love Island Final
During the adverts of the Love Island Final last month, ITV confirmed the return of Big Brother on their channel.
Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning & Acquisitions and Controller at ITV said:
“This refreshed, contemporary new series of Big Brother will contain all the familiar format points that kept viewers engaged and entertained the first time round, but with a brand new look and some additional twists that speak to today’s audience."
Big Brother's return will be huge for UK reality show fans with the series being off the air for nearly 4 years.
