Betting odds are already available for 2023's Time Person of the Year award with Elon Musk the 6/4 favourite to win the award according to bookies.

Musk won the Time Person of the Year award back in 2021 due to his 'disruptive impact on the automobile and aerospace industries' in the year.

Fast forward two years later and his role as Twitter CEO and work on other businesses give him a 40% chance of winning the award judging by the odds from Paddy Power.

US President Joe Biden is the second favourite in the betting to be the Time Person of the Year, with last year's winner Volodymyr Zelenskyy the third favourite in the market.

Zelenskyy won the award last year due to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine and there's a 16% chance that he wins it again this year.

Musk acquired the social media company in October 2022 for $44 billion after originally backing out from his April offer.

The takeover has since reportedly been a big headache for Musk and Star Sports gave odds of 4/1 for him to sell it on in 2023.

This gives a 20% chance of that happening with Musk potentially wanting to cut his losses already after constant backlash of his handling of the company.
