Jackpot City Casino First Impression

I spent a few days on the mobile and desktop versions of Jackpot City Casino’s site (there’s no app to download). Finding what you’re after – different titles, types of game etc – all the go-tos, is incredibly easy. There is a lot going on, plenty of flashing lights, bright colours and busy backdrops, which can be off putting but here feels like there’s just a lot to explore, so let’s get into it.

What is great about Jackpot City Casino

The best thing about Jackpot City Casino is the variety in games. Bingo aside (more of which we'll discuss later) they have got pretty much everything covered and it's great to see some more esoteric options there. The other thing that I really enjoyed is the My Favourites section, and the ability to choose specific games as my favourites, with them stored and saved in their own home of the site, making them super easy to find again.

What is not great about Jackpot City Casino

The downside to Jackpot City Casino is the lack of bingo options, or virtual sports. The latter is a bit more niche, so maybe not that surprising that there are no options averrable. The lack of bingo feels like a bigger miss, however, and considering their section of games generally is so good, it seems odd not to have at least something.

Jackpot City Casino Promotions

As mentioned above, the Jackpot City Casino welcome bonus is 100 free spins. These are to be used on Gold Blitz, with winnings paid as cash and the offer is for new UK customers only. The free spins will be awarded as soon as players stake £20 on a game within the “Jackpots” tab. The spin value is 10p and there are no wagering requirements.

On top of the welcome offer, there is the Mega Money Wheel, where players can spin their way to £1,000,000 as all players get five free spins per day for every day that they stake £20. Jackpot City has an excellent selection of live dealer games. The “Live Casino” tab takes you to a library of games including live versions of roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker and a few other select options under the title of “More”. In terms of blackjack games at Jackpot City Casino, the offering is split between live and standard versions. At first glance I thought Jackpot City Casino didn’t have any scratchcard games, but using their search tool, as opposed to the menu bar, pulled up 10 different scratchcard games immediately. These included The Perfect Scratch and Scratch! Bronze, tow titles that are exclusive to Jackpot City, as well as a few familiar games such as Stack ‘Em Scratch and Avalon Scratch.

Account Opening

To open an account at Jackpot City is very easy indeed. Split into three easy steps, you’ll be asked to input all the usual information when signing up to a casino such as email address, username and some personal information. You’ll also be able to choose your daily, weekly and monthly limits at this point, and all of these can be edited at a later date from your account.

Navigation and User Experience

The user experience is very good at Jackpot City. Everything is laid out clearly, and it’s particularly easy to navigate to different sections of the site. This is true of plenty of casinos, but Jackpot City has added some extra elements that you keep noticing as you go along.

For example, lots of casinos have a search tool to find games, but alongside the tool here, there is also an icon to take you straight to current promotions, as well as the Contact Us page. This latter option is actually more than just the contact info (email or live web chat), and includes account information, technical support, source of funds, verification of documents and withdrawal queries, among others.

Another nice touch is the ability to “favourite games”. In the menu bar is an option called “My Games”, and every single game tile has a little star on it. Clicking on this star adds them to your own My Games library so that they’re easier to find when you come back. Below this, Recently Played also automatically populates. You can deselect these favourites at any time, also.

Managing your account

By clicking on the icon at the top, next to your username and balance, you’ll get a drop down menu.  This shows the same information in greater detail, with next bet splits as well as your history – game history, transaction history – and the ability to choose your marketing preferences that Jackpot City uses.

I’m mightily impressed with Jackpot City. At first glance it appears to be a good, solid casino with plenty of variety in the games that they have in their library, then bit by bit, as you explore the site you see that there are all these little features that are essentially unnecessary (lots of casinos don’t do the same) but that really add to the user experience. I’ve mentioned these in the main part of the review, but include the My Favourites, the developer logo on game tiles and the ease in getting to customer support.

It’s great to see some games that other casinos simply don’t have. It would be very easy to ignore games such as sic bo, but having that, as well as fan tan and back bo just shows a willingness to go that extra bit.

It’s obvious that Jackpot City has been around for a while, because what they’ve launched in the UK is a fully fledged product with zero teething problems. There’s no app, but the mobile version works just as well as the desktop version. All in all, there’s plenty to like about Jackpot City Casino
