Billytherealbigred obviously impressed the handicapper with his win at Bangor as he has been raised 12 pounds but could still win again if his jumping stands the test at Chepstow. With Range also in the field, having fallen when in the lead over course and distance 5 out and kept to the same mark. An exuberant four-year-old, Billytherealbigred was an impressive improver over hurdles last year, making all until a fall when clear at Ayr stopped his run of wins. He now looks like continuing to win over fences.

Ideally, this grey would have liked a bit more rain, but with 5 wins chasing last season and still only 6, it is conceivable that there is more to come. Pipe has a decent record here and is in good form at the moment, and at the price, I think he is worth a go.

Can You Call has, since around this time last year, only had five runs but has been in the money without winning in four of them. Although at the back of the field on the latest run on the return, he is now second up after wind surgery and could bounce back EW.

Makes his seasonal reappearance today. Sent straight over the larger obstacles. Running off what looks to be a decent enough mark. He was due to run at Chepstow last month, but the trainer didn't declare him due to lack of rain. Hearing the trainer speak about him, he clearly rates this horse and seems adamant he needs softer ground, which he should get this time. He managed to win a bumper and a hurdle race for this yard last year, with the hurdling win coming over track and trip, beating Livin On Luco by a narrow margin. That doesn't look bad form given that horse won on chase debut a few weeks back off a mark of 120. In his stable tour, the trainer stated he's not a hurdler or bumper horse. He's a chaser. He also said he's a really nice horse and could win stacks of races over fences if things go right for him. With the yard often having horses ready first time up, plus he's won fresh in the past, I think he can win first time up here.
