Established Bookmaker, generally offer consistently good odds, and have daily ‘bonus’ offers and odds boosts. Wide range of betting options. Very prompt and efficient payouts too in my experience.
Quality site right up there with Bet365. Loads of matches and markets. Doesn't have asian handicaps though which is a bit annoying. Great odds and no problems with withdrawls. Highly recommended.

If football is your bag then William Hill probably offer the best prices and their website is pretty easy to navigate around. Minor sports like American Football seem to suffer though and not every match is priced up. My only problem was in the summer where they took ages to play out on Sri Lanka winning their world cup 20/20 group. Three online chats later and after being told it hadn't been decided, I finally got my money. All in all, I like their website which makes it quick and easy and with so much competition out there it makes a lot of difference. I also found their free bet offer rewarding and simple which can not be said for some other firms.

Never had a problem with William Hill, they are usually very good prices on the football and offer best odds gaurenteed on horse racing, lots of offers from them too. They regularly have no loss offers on various slots games, so it's always useful to keep a spare £10 in their to take full advantage of some free money. For depositing purposes, I just wish they would lower their minimum deposit to £5 not £10.

I have looooooooong been a Hills customer even worked for them in-store at one point not anymore, however as a customer they are not nearly as good as other bookies in a number of ways. I have been betting with them for a number of years, one day tried to place a £500 treble, trader limited my stake to £27.18 which was ridiculous to this day it still puzzles me. They dont reward loyal customers like other sites do and they certainly do not offer the best prices on the market, they will on offer best prices on say Boreham Utd beating barcelona 5-1 but thats only because its impossible. They do have a nicely laid out site and ok payout times except for weekends when they dont process till sunday!

I've had an account with Hills for around 5 years now. They have a good customer service but it can sometimes take a while to get through to them as you can guess there is a lot of people trying to contact them. I think Hills are one of the bookmakers that would come to mind if you were to name the top three biggest bookmakers. The pros about this company are decent odds, good customer service and an easy to navigate website. I do think there is better bookmakers to bet with though and that is just my opinion Bet365, Ladbrokes to name a few

Website not really up to scratch compared to others, very disappointed when B.O.G. were stopped until late morning. However, the prices appear to be competitive enough when I, rarely, use Hills
Would be nice to have BOG on horse racing odds earlier. WH don't offer BOG till 10am on the day of racing(worst bookie out there) Bet365 the offer BOG the day before. Very poor cash out offers if any offered. The website is not the best to navigate and plenty others preferred. 2 stars for their "fixed" scratch of the day and Bonus Explorer.
You can judge a company by their customer service and William Hills is very poor.Pretty much a like it or lump it attitude but maybe that is for the smaller gambler? It is a shame because they have decent markets and specials but just don't have a problem!!!

Their approach to gambling is starting to look very aged. I don't ever remember seeing a promo from them where I have though” that looks interesting". Their shops are starting to look old and a little outdated and not a patch on ‘Betfred’. Back to online betting, they are one of the oldest and established bookmakers but my biggest gripe is for them to only offer best-odds at 10am on the day of the race and not at the opening show the evening before, in this day and age, I feel is quite shocking.
They gave me ten free spins which you have to play through 40 times. After my free spins (at 20p per spin), my next spin was for 25 lines, so it cost me £5. Annoying. Once my current credit is used up, I won't be using them again. It will likely take several months to use up my credit, however, as they rarely offer the best odds.
Very bad customer service. Very difficult to get the payouts and in many cases they promote a bonus that does not really exist

There is an email address for more detailed inquiries that you need to put in writing, or you can tweet them for simpler questions.
William Hill made a pledge for the World Cup 2018 - by laying any bet in 90-minute play to lose £10,000.
Football naturally has the largest payout of any sport, as is this norm with most bookmakers, although smaller leagues will have smaller maximum payout limits.
The football payouts should be enough to cover all but the most speculative of wagers, but if you are going to places big footy accumulators please always check payout limits.
In some cases it may be advisable if you think you may exceed the maximum payout limit to reduce your stakes, or remove a selection from your acca.
Reducing your stake will also reduce your financial risk on the bet.
There is little point in exceeding the bookmaker's maximum payouts as if limits are breached they will not pay you the extra.
Other sports have smaller limits than football, and again please check those if you think you have a chance of winning a large amount.
If you regularly bet with the chance of huge wins then it may be worth checking our guide to betting with high stakes and which bookies accept big bets.
The guide is packed with helpful info and is regularly updated.
