I’ve been following horse racing for over 30 years now and although it can be very frustrating at times (most times) but when the betting God’s are on your side it’s great. Although 33/1 shots are fantastic, my idea of value is a winner. I like watching maiden races looking for horses finishing off their races well or being unlucky in running to back next time out also handicappers at favourite tracks, back down to winnable marks with a jockey up who regularly wins for the stable. Ran a cracker at the Cheltenham Festival to notch the hat trick following two good wins at Taunton. Was due to run last week but has waited for this race which looks easier on paper. Form of Cheltenham win has been boosted with the second and fourth coming out to claim grade 1's. Tough to beat with a clear round.

Ran a great race in the national last year and has been targeting another go since then. Got to far back last year and stayed on well so I'd imagine the plan will be to get switched off a little closer to the pace to be produced at the last and steam home for victory.

The Byrnes stable is in fine form and he doesn't travel his horses over to England for no reason, money has been coming in for the selection this week and that's a big pointer from a stable that likes a gamble.

Heaps of money have come in for Kateira over the last 24 hours so the Skelton horse must be showing the right signs at home. Ran a great race finishing second in a grade one at this festival last year. Must go close.

Won the Kim Muir doing cartwheels at Cheltenham in March and although a handicap to grade one is a big leap I think the selection is up to this. It's not the strongest grade one and with only 5 to beat the McManus first string can get the day off to a flyer.

Trainer gave good positive interview this week of Sunways chances (to the point he said defeat is out the question). If only this game was that easy! Good season last year ending with winning the group 1 criterium, will love underfoot conditions and Oisin Murphy keeps the partnership intact, great chance.
