Just feel that we need to be looking towards the bottom of the weights in this years race , out of the Elliot bunch i think this one deserves to be given a shot at this trip with Sean Bowen back on top after last years 4th in the Sandown race on ground that looked firmer than ideal - the concern is that he just might not have the class required nowadays for a race of this nature ..... but at 66/1 i think the horse is a bit overpriced from an ew perspective as we are yet to see this horse tackle this sort of trip .....and i think the horse needs it on soft ground to have any chance of a big staying hcap, should be staying on quitley when others have cried enough - 6 places ew

Had this horse in mind all day i.e contemplating what Christian Williams might be doing with this and if its worth chancing after an extended break - what making me takes this chance is several factors 1. Soft/Heavy ground and a 2. A potential fast run race 3. Coming back to hurdles . This grey gets in here off a mark of 125 and i think its a somewhat reasonable claim that he could be much better than that under these conditions . Im very cautious at the same time , possibly just giving the horse a run to see where the fitness is in preperation for Ayr - that said i cant see why they cant give it a ago here and it wouldnt surprise me if this race has been the target and it runs a big one

A small ew interest on a wide speculation if my top selection fails to fire in this race - Just looks too well hcapped on some fair graded back form for this yard - was running a massive race in the Aintree Hurdle (Grade 1) at Aintree in 2022 and has run in just three graded races since - this is just the second start in a hcap since Oct 2021 , the first was lto at Cheltenham - Aintree suist better imo - small ew

Have to have a little on ew at this price - i watched this one run a fair race lto againt 3 horses that have come on abit , i just think that this horse should be much shorther than 100/1 based on that run - Nick Schofield pulled the head off this for the majority of the trip at Doncasterwhen coming 4th and if he changes tactics here with trying to make it a test from the front then ite possible he could be hanging on for a place - will most probably drop out to be last if these newcomers are any good , but we know this horse will likes the conditions , very minimal ew speculation
