Daniel Hillier

25 EW

Four rounds in the sixties last week in Japan at the ISPS Handa Championship and around this time last year was when he started to play well with a 5th in Holland, a 3rd in Germany then winning the British Masters. Daniel Hillier has the tee to green game for this weeks course and I am backing he takes a liking to it and plays his way into contention at the Volvo China Open.

Ivan Cantero

25 EW

The Spaniard put a big week together in Japan at the ISPS Handa Championship and after opening with a 70 he went on to card rounds of 66, 64 and 68. He will be full of confidence after such a big week finishing third and I am backing he carries that into this week at the Volvo China Open, he is available at a big price each way.

Marcus Armitage

25 EW

His only appearance at this course in China was a 21st place finish in 2017. He was fourth only three starts ago at the SDC Championship and he has won over in China before back in 2016 on the Challenge Tour at the Foshan Open. I am backing Marcus Armitage could fly under the radar here at the Volvo China Open and he is a big price to back each way.

Richie Ramsay

25 EW

The Scot has only missed the one cut since the start of September and he played last week in Japan carding three rounds in the sixties. He has made his last five cuts at this course with his best finishes being 11th and 14th, I am backing Richie Ramsay puts a good week together in China to be in with a shout come Sunday.

Brighton are really out of sorts lately and they have lost their last two 4-0 to Manchester City and 3-0 to Bournemouth. Villa are chasing top four and did win their last away game 2-0 at Arsenal. Villa have won five of the last six head to head and I am backing they beat Albion away for a huge three points in the race for the Champions League spots.
21:45 The CJ Cup Byron Nelson

Adam Schenk

25 EW

Tied 12th at The Masters and he was 5th at the Valero Texas Open the week before Augusta. He has made his last five cuts and the last time he teed it up in Texas he had that top five. 34th in 2021 at TPC Craig Ranch, I am backing Adam Schenk has a good week at the Byron Nelson.

Adam Scott

25 EW

Tied 8th last year in the Byron Nelson and Adam Scott has had success in Texas down the years on the PGA Tour. 14th at the Valero Texas Open and 22nd at The Masters, the Australian has two top ten finishes in his last three starts in this event and I am backing he is worth backing this week at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.

Sam Stevens

25 EW

Tied 4th last week in the Zurich Classic and the American did finish tied 14th at the Valero Texas Open last month. 34th last year at the Byron Nelson and he was also runner up at the Valero Texas Open thirteen months ago. I am backing Samuel Stevens can put a good week together in the CJ Cup.

Seamus Power

25 EW

26th at the Valspar Championship and 12th at the RBC Heritage, the Irishman has had a couple of good weeks and heading to Texas I am backing he can go low at the Byron Nelson. 9th, 17th and 19th the last three years at this course, I like the chances of Seamus Power contending this week.

Top European

25 EW

The German has made his last six cuts and he was tied 10th in Puerto Rico, 26th at The Players Championship, 17th at the Valspar and 11th in his last start at the Corales Puntacana Championship. I am backing Matti Schmid arrives at TPC Craig Ranch and really takes to a course he has the game to go low around, the Top European market is the bet for the former two time European Amateur.

Vincent Norrman

Top European

25 EW

The Swede won the Irish Open last September and a couple of months before he won the Barbasol Championship on the PGA Tour. Tied 8th last year at the Byron Nelson with four low rounds of 68, 66, 65 and 66, I am backing Vincent Norrman will be one of the top Europeans again this week in Texas.

Jake Knapp

Top American

The American won the Mexico Open at Vidanta earlier this year and that was after a top three finish at Torrey Pines. Conditions in Texas should suit and I am backing Jake Knapp flies under the radar this week and finishes as one of the Top Americans.

Richy Werenski

Top American

25 EW

Tied 11th twelve months ago at The CJ Cup Bryon Nelson and he opened with a 64 and followed it with two rounds of 68 and a 66 to close on Sunday. Big odds but in the Top American market and on a course he likes, I am backing Ricky Werenski goes unnoticed to have a big finish.

17:00 England Premier League 2023/24

Arsenal

50 WIN

The Gunners were runners up last season to Manchester City and with a half dozen games to go they were very much in the title race after having a healthy lead. Arteta will learn from the mistakes and move this side forward, I am backing they learn from last season and Arsenal can win the Premier League for a fourth time.

Fulham

To be Relegated

50 WIN

The Cottagers finished tenth last season in the Premier League but their front line is aging and Mitrovic may not keep them in the top flight for another season. Only once in the season did they lose five or more on the bounce last season and I am backing they might not pick up as many points this time around which will see them in a relegation battle come April and May time, I can see them going down.

Darwin Nunez

Top Goalscorer

25 EW

Fifteen goals in all competitions last season for the Uruguayan and his return in the Premier League was nine in twenty nine. He was the same in his first season with Benfica before netting 26 the following season and I am backing Darwin Nunez will work hard during the pre season and have a big year for The Redmen where he doubles his tally and pushes the 20 goal a season mark.
