Laporta was in contention last week, but faded on day four. He does not have great success here, but his form is more than reliable lately with three top 13s in his last seven starts. The Italian is looking like a sound each way bet.

Dean played once here and he missed the cut. That looks like the sole minus to back him. Of course, he is yet to win on the DP World Tour, but played excellent in his last two appearances. His tee-to-green game was superb, and if he keeps the pace, he can be a real contender for the top seven spot.

I think here Smith should be the fair favorite. Canter won last week and before that he was in the top 3, but Jordan is the player who thrives here. In his last eight starts, he has six top 27s, and he has two top six here in the last seven starts. I think he will take the title.

Julien Guerrier

Guerrier is a "steady Eddy." He made the cut seven times in a row and four top 21s in the last five. He is a potent ball striker and the field here is not that strong. I see good chances for the Frenchman to clinch his second title, and I take Guerrier to post a top 7 finish.
