Etlevi's Tips

3rd May 2024
09:00 David Gilbert v Kyren Wilson

Kyren Wilson

Win Match

50 WIN

This does feel like a tight one indeed and the first part has ended in a 4-4 quite balanced for now. However in a best of 33, only the better man will come out victorious and while Gilbert has been doing some wonders defeating Brecel and Maguire in recent games, I think he might get stopped here by Kyren Wilson. Wilson has been flawless so far and he does count a positive record against Gilbert in terms of h2hs hence I would consider Wilson to win this.

Kyren Wilson -1.50

Handicap Betting

50 WIN

Gilbert has done great indeed having defeated some good opponents however after seeing Wilson beating Higgins in a 13-8 game I think Wilson is more in form and eager to defeat Gilbert. The h2hs are on Wilson's side as well and even if a somewhat close result is expected Kyren should still be able to cover the -1.50 handicap.

Kyren Wilson to win 17-15

Frame Betting

50 WIN

This feels like a tight one as both men have been doing their best and indeed playing some of their best frames. Gilbert has had success against the defending champion and went past Maguire just recently whereas Wilson has had some effortless wins in the first rounds sealing his big victory against Higgins in a 13-8 indicating a superb form. Gilbert has been steady so he might produce a tight game. I would consider Wilson to claim a 17-15 win today.

18:00 Jak Jones v Stuart Bingham

Jak Jones

Win Match

50 WIN

This is going to be a tough one as both Jak Jones and Bingham come from a splendid run and some strong wins. Jones won against Trump 13-9 in the last round while Bingham managed to defeat Ronnie O'Sullivan in a 13-10. In my view this is going to be a tight one but since Jones counts a previous win in a h2h against Bingham I would side with him. Jak Jones to defeat Bingham and possibly claim the crown.

Jak Jones 2.50

Handicap Betting

59 WIN

Jak Jones has seen a lot of growth this past year and he has progressed so much in this World Championship defeating Trump in the quarter finals. While Bingham is another tough one to crack epecially since the latter comes after a solid win over Ronnie O'Sullivan, I think Jones has a slight edge here. After all the teo have met once previously and Jones has won that one by 4-0. Circumtsances and formes have changes here so I would expect a tougher one but I still think Jones will put up a tight game. My pick would be Jones to cover the +2.50 handicap.

Jak Jones to win 17-10

Frame Betting

75 WIN

Jones has been in a splendid form and has shown in just recently winning so many games in a row. His best accomplishment is defeating Trump in the quarter finals by 13-9. With that performance I believe at this moment he can take on anyone, including Bingham. While Bingham played a solid run himself winning against Ronnie by 13-10 I still think Jak Jones has set his mind to win this. this semifinal is an even longer game of nerves and patience since they will be playing the best of 31 frames wins and my selection would be a 17-10 for Jones to win.
