Now that I've told you about the summary, intro, graphics, music, and sound effects, next up I'm going to cover the key features.
Here at OLBG we create slot games reviews that include up-to-date info about all of the important features such as the theme, paylines, bet range, and bonuses. I’ll conclude the review by talking about the play experience, first impressions and expert verdict.
Theme – Horror
The horror theme is a strong point for this slot game, the Devil is depicted as a particularly scary-looking muscled-up Satan complete with talons, horns, red eyes, and a tail. During the Rise to Salvation round, the Reaper comes into his own and the reference to the shadowy realm makes a whole heap of sense as you can see a blue tunnel of light connecting the two worlds.
The grid is designed with a stone effect which contains several mystical symbols. In order from the highest value, they are Baphomet (a sign of the devil), The Eye of Providence, a crow, a fly and a pair of scissors. These are then followed by the standard symbols of A, K, Q J and 10.
Reels
You can play the classic setup of 5 reels by 5 rows when playing the Dark Summoning slot game.
Paylines
Landing winning combos with the Dark Summoning slot game is possible on 24 non-adjustable paylines.
RTP
RTP or 'return to player' as you may have seen in written is a way of telling players what percentage (theoratically) of stakes will be returned to them in the long term. The figure is usually somewhere between 94% and 96%. Dark Summoning is 96.36% which is above average.
Like all other slot creators, Hacksaw Gaming uses this RTP rate as a default value so if you look around, you’ll find different RTPs at various slot sites. However, we’ve saved you some time and have listed a few different percentages at some of the top UK online casinos which you'll find in the table below.
When deciding which site to play at there are a few things to think about in addition to RTP. You should also look at payment options, the game library, customer support and welcome bonuses and deals.
If you'd fancy playing more than one game you should check out this page with the slot sites we recommend.
Stake Range
There's a wide stake range for the Dark Summoning slot game which starts at £0.10 and goes right up to £100 which is Hacksaw's usual amount.
Max Win
The max win amount for the Dark Summoning slot game is 10,666x your stake.
Wild Shape
When playing Dark Summoning the Wild symbols substitute for all other symbols in the paytable. As mentioned earlier in the review, there are two Wild symbols, a blue Wild and a red Wild. The blue Wild appears in the base game and in the Rise to Salvation bonus feature. The red Wild appears in the Trial by Hellfire bonus feature. A Wild symbol can have one of the following multiplier values: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x.
Free Spins
There are two free spins round to enjoy during the Dark Summoning game. Firstly there's the Trial By Hellfire bonus round where landing 3 Unholy Symbols during the base game gets you 10 free spins in this bonus round. During the bonus, all winning positions are marked by Hellfire. When an Unholy Symbol lands it will activate something called the Fires of Hell feature. During this feature the Unholy Symbol and all symbols on positions marked by Hellfire are replaced with Wild symbols.
Secondly there is the Rise To Salvation Bonus which is also triggered by 3 Unholy Symbols during the base game but you also need an Order symbol to be present when the third Unholy symbol is collected. You receive 10 free spins during this bonus round. During the bonus, the symbol drop and the cascade direction is reversed so that symbols move upwards instead of downwards which is pretty nifty. Also, there are special Lost Soul Symbols and when one lands, it stays on the reels until the end of the free spins or until it Ascends. Lost Souls move upward together with other cascading symbols to fill the empty spaces left behind by wins that have been removed. The Lost Soul Symbols come in two variants which are a Global Multiplier Lost Soul and a Cash Prize Lost Soul. When they Ascend, these Souls either add a value to the Global Multiplier which is above the reels, or they can award a cash prize.
Jackpot
Like most modern-day slot games there is no jackpot award within the Dark Summoning slot game. If jackpots are your thing you should take a look at our page with the biggest jackpot slot games.
Play Experience & First Impressions
The game makes a great impression as soon as you launch it, the creatives really are excellent and it creates an immersive story from the start. The free spins bonus rounds were impressive, especially the Rise To Salvation game with all of the different elements. Dark Summoning is a cascade game but the cacades are super cascades and it looks great visually seeing the additional cascades and potential wins from them.
The Unholy Summoning was another enjoyable feature worth mentioning, here Unholy Scatter Symbols that appear alongside any winning combo are gathered and stored at the top-right corner of the grid. If 3 Unholy Symbols land simultaneously, they are quickly collected. These can add up which is fantastic. The Order Scatter Symbol was also enjoyable. Here the symbol replaces itself and 2-10 other symbols with Wild Symbols. Plus if more than one Order symbol lands at the same time, Will of the Order will be triggered once for each Order symbol. This was great when it triggered.
