The further up the ladder you go, the more free spins or prize picks on offer.

Look out for symbols with Jackpot Overlays as 3 or more will award fixed jackpots. The Light Trap, Full Trap and Motherlode Jackpots are worth 50, 150 or 1,000 times your total bet. With a 96.38% RTP rate, max wins can reach 1,000 times your total bet.

If you reach 4 Slingos, you will trigger the Banker’s Offer which you can take, open their box or keep spinning. If you keep spinning, every subsequent Slingo obtained will increase the prizes remaining.

You’ll get a guaranteed win with any wilds expanding, being sticky and triggering a respin of all other reels. Look out for Purple Gems as they award instant cash prizes. With a 96.66% RTP rate, max wins can reach 1,500 times your total bet.

With Super Wilds that allow you to mark any number on the grid, 8 or more Slingos will trigger the Bonus feature from the slot game. This allows you to collect a cash prize or play free spins where a bonus multiplier is applied at the end. With a 96.59% RTP rate, it comes with 2,000 times bet max wins.

6. Slingo Reel King

What is Slingo?

Slingo is a mix or fusion between slots and bingo (‘Sl’ is from slots and ‘ingo’ from bingo in case it doesn’t stand out to you immediately). Created by Gaming Realms, Slingo games derive from the 75-ball bingo game and incorporate spinning reels from slot games.

The aim is to match numbers on the reels at the bottom of the screen with those that appear on the grid. Each game lasts for 10 spins on average. When you complete Slingo lines, you’ll move up the prize ladder. The more Slingos you collect, the bigger your prize or payout.

Slingo games come in many different styles which are often versions of popular slot games. You have the Slingo games based on slots like Rainbow Riches, Starburst, Fluffy Favourites, Sweet Bonanza and Da Vinci Diamonds. As a result, developer Gaming Realms has incorporated bonus features from the slots they are inspired by to make each game unique.

How to Play Slingo

Slingo Games How to Play Slingo banner

Slingo games are made up of 3 parts:

  • 5x5 grid with numbers on each position
  • 5 reel slot (under the 5x5 grid)
  • Prize Ladder (to the left of the 5x5 grid)

You then choose your bet (normally 10p to 20p minimum) which will result in a set number of spins (normally 10). When you initiate the spin sequence, a ball/spin reveals new numbers in the 5 reel slot area. Any matching numbers on the grid are marked off. Completing a full line of 5 numbers will award a Slingo.

Slingos can be completed horizontally, vertically and diagonally. There are typically 12 Slingo lines (or win lines) on the grid. The more Slingo lines you complete, the higher up the Prize Ladder you will climb. This will result in cash prizes or entry to bonus features.

If you’re lucky enough to complete the grid of numbers, you’ll land a Full House which awards the top prize or entry to a bonus feature. Once a prize is won and you use up all your spins, you can collect the prize or purchase extra spins to enhance your prize.

Slingo games also come with special symbols such as the Wild or Super Wild. Below, here are the most common special symbols you’ll come across:

  • Wild: Allows you to mark any number on the column above it
  • Super Wild: Allows you to mark any number on the grid
  • Free Spin: Rewards you with 1 extra spin
  • Blocker/Devil: They block potential matches on the column they appear in
  • Cherub: They cancel our Devil/Blocker symbols
  • Gold Coin: Awards an instant cash prize
  • Scatter/Bonus: Normally 3 or more will trigger a bonus feature

At the end of your spin sequence (normally 10 spins), you can buy extra spins to move further up the Prize Ladder or trigger a bonus feature. Most Slingo games allow up to 40 extra spins with a price for each one.

Slingo Tips & Tricks

Think you’ve got a grasp of Slingo? Below are some of the best tips and tricks you need to consider when playing Slingo games online:

  • When a Wild or Super Wild appears, mark a number that will result in the most Slingos or win lines being completed. The more Slingos you complete, the higher up the Prize Ladder you’ll climb. It can also trigger entry to a bonus feature.
  • If a Wild or Super Wild appears, try and fill the middle spot on the grid as it can complete 4 Slingos.
  • Only purchase extra spins or Slingo balls if you are close to the next prize or feature trigger.
  • Purchasing extra spins or Slingo balls can be expensive the higher up the Prize Ladder you are.
  • Always play responsibly. Only purchase extra spins if you can afford to do so.
