How to Play Deal or No Deal Live

Playing Deal or No Deal Live isn't overly complicated.

It should only take you a few seconds to get up to speed with how everything works. Let's take a look.

Before we go any further, you should know that there are three spin modes for this first phase. They cost different amounts and have varying chances of success.

They are; Normal Spins, XXXtreme Spins (15x your bet) and Super XXXtreme Spins (75x your bet). The latter two guarantee two scatter symbols on each spin.

Qualification Phase

This is the first stage of the game. You'll face a 3x3 row slot machine with five fixed win lines.

Players must land three scatter symbols in the same spin to qualify for the Deal or No Deal Bonus round.

Once you've qualified, all multipliers will be added together to create a Global multiplier.

This amount is then multiplied by the amount in each briefcase in the Top-Up phase.

Top Tip
Scatter symbols may contain multipliers up to 10x that can dramatically boost your winnings.

Once the Global Multiplier has been added, you're ready for the next round.

Top-Up Phase

This is where it starts getting really exciting. You've qualified and now you're ready to spin the top-up wheel.

All you need to do is pick a briefcase and spin the 15-segment wheel to boost your briefcase's value by 5x–50x your bet.

You can spin as many times as you like until the timer runs out - and even switch briefcases before each spin if you want to spread your top-ups across different ones.

It's worth noting that higher bets increase the value of the top-up rewards on the wheel, but this is a very quick way to burn through your bankroll.

These boosted briefcases carry over into the Deal or No Deal Bonus round.

When time’s up, you’ll automatically enter the final round - unless you choose to wait for the next one.

Deal or No Deal Bonus Game

If you've made it this far, you're in for a treat. This is the single most exciting part of the game.

At this point, a friendly live host will take centre stage and start talking you through what's going to happen.

All 16 briefcases are now on display behind the host, while one final briefcase is placed on a table beside them.

If you've seen the TV show, you'll know this is the most important briefcase, as it could the biggest prize.

The background cases are opened in batches, with each one revealing a number that corresponds to your briefcases shown on the screen.

Once a number is revealed, its matching briefcase disappears from play.

After each batch of briefcases is opened, the Banker will make you an offer based on the remaining values.

This is where guts and decision making come into play, because, you can either take the deal or risk it and continue playing for a potentially bigger prize.

With each new round, more briefcases are opened, and the Banker will fire another offer your way.

There are four offers in total before the game reaches its final stage.

When only two briefcases remain, you get the option to switch them before they are opened.

If you’ve declined all previous offers, the value in your final briefcase is what you take home.

Deal or No Deal Live Strategies

The first phase of Deal or No Deal Live is a random number generator game, so there is no guaranteed way to win.

It has an optimal RTP of 96%, making it one of the casino games with a lower house edge.

However, there are some Deal or No Deal betting strategies you can use to ensure you spend longer enjoying this game.

Bankroll Management

Set a budget before you start playing and stick to it.

The biggest mistake players make here is overspending on the qualifying phase of the game in an attempt to get to the live show.

You should always try qualify using the lowest stake. If luck isn't on your side, take a break and come back later.

Top-Up Phase Caution

The least risky plan of attack here is to spread your top-ups across multiple briefcases, rather than going all in on one.

Always be careful not to overspend trying to get big top-ups, as this is the single fastest way to eat into any potential winnings.

Bankers Offers

The first few offers will be low, but they do increase as briefcases are eliminated.

If most of the high-value cases have been ruled out, you should definitely consider taking a cashout.

However, if there are still some decent briefcases in play, it might be wise to turn the banker's offer down.

To Switch or Not to Switch?

This can quite often be the toughest decision you'll encounter playing Deal or No Deal Live.

So should you switch? The answer isn't straightforward.

If the value of one case is significantly higher than the other, it's worth switching.

But if the values are close, it's more of a toss up, so it could be worth sticking to your guns.
