The race for UK Christmas Number one is entering the final stages and things are hotting up across the water as a host of possibles have come out of the woodwork in the stretch run.

Fleetwood Mac achieved only 1 number one single in the UK charts (Albatross), but a second time at the top of the list and just in time for Christmas could be on the cards after the untimely passing of Christine McVie last week, with expected streaming of Fleetwood Mac songs going through the roof.

As a result, Sportsbooks have added them to the betting on Christmas Number One odds at just +400 - There could be new competition, though, with The Sidemen also entering the betting at +600 with 2 song releases and a huge number of fans potentially streaming them to gain the top spot in time for Christmas Day.

LadBaby remains at the top of the betting despite no announcement yet for an attempt at a 5th consecutive festive chart-topper.

Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds are not out of the race, with betting sites still giving them a 27% chance with odds of +275 thanks to England remaining in the World Cup. Should England lift the trophy, sales of the rehashed football song will go through the roof and could St Nick the top spot.

The Sidemen have an 8% chance to gatecrash the Christmas number 1 slot - the conglomeration of a group of YouTubers including KSI, Miniminter, Zerkaa, TBJZL, Behzinga, Vikkstar123, and W2S with a combined following of 137million subscribers, along with ties to Jake and Logan Paul support, means that from a social marketing perspective they would be serious contenders, if they went for it seriously - They have released two novelty songs with require some parental guidance, and are +1200 to hit Number one with either of them. Both songs were released on Monday and received over 3.5 million views in the first 24 hours.
