Firstly, there are some smaller sports that aren’t covered, or aren’t covered that well, and we can’t ignore that. And while they have added racing and greyhounds, those parts of the product are still lacking.
However, it has a really impressive app, the odds are generally good and there are price boosts all over the site, which means that on the whole there is great value to be had on most sports. But really, the absolute main reason for coming here is the esports output – it’s one of the best, if not no.1, for betting on esports, regardless of the game title that you prefer. This is a generally good product that is absolutely exceptional for the thing that it specialises in.

The live betting at Midnite is pretty good, but may not compete with the very best. Head to their In-Play section, listed near the top of the sidebar menu, and you’ll see all their live markets, split between respective sports. At the time of review there is some tennis, football, table tennis, baseball, rugby and badminton. It stops there however, and a quick look through some other bookies shows there are definitely more in-play options going on elsewhere. Midnite doesn’t quite make our list of best bookmakers for in-play betting, but they are not far off.
You can stream selected UK horse racing at Midnite.
After looking through some comparison sites – OddsChecker and a few others – as well as a further look across other bookmakers, it looks like the odds offered at Midnite are not bad at all. We checked some live football matches, tennis and table tennis games for in-play odds, plus horse racing and a few other sports for upcoming stuff. They’re competitive enough, and a lot of markets have price boosts, which is always good to see.
Also, remember that it is always worth checking alternative betting options, including best spread betting sites and betting exchange sites, depending on who you are as a bettor.
Midnite’s app is pretty slick. The interface works smoothly and is pretty popular among Midnite users. One nice feature that the app has is its community section, with a discord group. This is where users can find tips, as well as discussing these tips (as well as anything else) with other Midnite members. The more I used Midnite the more I used the app. This isn’t to say the desktop is necessarily bad, but it definitely feels like the app is the priority in terms of design. See how it compares to the best betting apps in the UK.
Midnite offers a very broad range of football markets, with odds that are competitive. There’s obviously the major leagues and competitions, but punters can also find domestic leagues as broad and varied as Thailand, Northern Ireland, Ecuador and Albania. You can see in the chart below, in greater detail, why certain bookies rank among the top for football betting sites, and what Midnite is up against.
Right at the top of most football matches you’ll see the Bet Builder option. This works as a toggle, whereby turning it on or off determines whether you build these bets together. When you’re in “Build Mode” – their words, not mine – there is a bright blue strip that reminds you, while your bet populates in the betslip as per normal. I haven’t seen this anywhere else and it works really nicely. In terms of the markets available, there is loads here, but I’d prefer it if there were foul/tackle player markets.
As well as the welcome offer there are a few different promotions to take advantage of. Lots and lots of football markets have odds boosts – just look for the little blue arrows that point up. Although it’s not a promotion as such, it’s worth highlighting Midnite’s Acca Assist. Here you can build accas across sports really easily, rather than having to navigate all around the website.
Cashout is a very important betting feature for punters these days so it's crucial that bookies integrate this feature into their mobile betting apps. Midnite has done this well, allowing their customers to instantly cash out their bets on any device they like.
The horse racing section at Midnite is pretty good but nothing special. I mentioned at the top that when Midnite first launched horse racing wasn’t included as part of the product, which is pretty punchy for the UK market. That’s obviously changed, with a full horse racing offering, although there is no Best Odds Guaranteed, or much in the way of racing promotions such as Fallers Insurance or Second to the Favourite, but you can live stream selected races.
A full range of American Sports is available, including all the major leagues, plus college games and the same sports across the globe.
The first thing Midnite serves (and this goes for basketball also) is simply the moneyline market. This isn’t what bettors want and overlooks how people bet on these sports. What would be much more useful is to have the moneyline alongside the points spread and the total. If you’re only going to choose one, then just choose the spread. Even when you click through, it’s not immediately clear what the spread is until you have a look for the most balanced odds. It’s quite annoying to be honest. It’s worth checking out our best NFL betting sites to see how Midnite compares.
I’ve already raised the issue above regarding how the main markets are presented, and it’s the same for basketball betting. That said, there are some positives here. You can use Midnite’s bet builder function throughout, there are supporting stats, plus a live view of graphics and, finally, there are selected price boosts per game which is fantastic to see. On top of that, most leagues around the world are included.
Obviously there is plenty of MLB taking up most of the space here, but they also have markets for the Japanese and South Korean leagues, also. The number of markets per game is above average, and that goes across the aforementioned Asian leagues, not just MLB games, which can sometimes be overlooked. In addition, the same stats system can be used here to help inform betting. Keep tabs on the top baseball betting sites though, to see why they make it onto our list.
This is maybe the most limited offering of the major US sports. There aren't as many competitions, or markets per competition, and there is nothing in the way of boosts or promotions of any kind. The good news is that you get quite a bit more in the way of statistics when compared to basketball or baseball, for example, but overall this feels a bit like it’s just ticking along.
There’s no live streaming or Best Odds Guaranteed for greyhounds, which is a bit disappointing, but generally the odds are good and it’s good that greyhound betting has been added to Midnite’s output. That said, this is pretty limited overall. At the time of review there are just two meets listed (Hove and Central Park), but on other bookies there a full day of most tracks in the country, plus those further afield than the UK and Ireland, including New Zealand, Australia and the United States. This isn’t good.

By Luke Bradshaw Lee - Midnite split rugby union and rugby league, which is common and completely understandable. All in all this isn’t that bad, the league markets look about right, and while there are all the expected competitions covered for union, and the markets are fine, there does seem to be nothing in the way of player markets, not even anytime tryscorer. See how they compare to our best Rugby betting sites.
Betway currently tops our Best Cricket betting sites right now, with huge market depth, great odds and lots of promotions, so perhaps Midnite can follow their lead and up their offering.
By James Banting - Overall, I think the tennis betting at Midnite is decent. Across the site it’s definitely one of the better sports in terms of in-play coverage and it's nice to have a number of different price boosts. If they could add in more markets, and some tennis-specific promotions, they’d definitely be closer to getting into the top 10 tennis betting sites on OLBG.
By James Banting - I’m not quite sure what’s happening with Midnite’s golf betting. We’re in the middle of the PGA Championship and there is absolutely nothing here to bet on, and this isn’t hyperbole, there is literally nothing. So no minor competitions, no outrights on future majors and nothing in the way of the actual major that’s being played as we speak.
Whilst these sports might sound very niche, there is still a large enough market for fans, and millions of them in the UK, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG; let’s dig in a bit further.
Midnite offers extensive betting options for handball, volleyball, cycling, AFL betting, and esports. Handball includes global competitions; volleyball, covers European Championships and various tournaments; cycling features future tours and current races; AFL betting has comprehensive stats and esports offers all major games like League of Legends and CS:GO.
Midnite doesn’t offer any political betting at the time of this review.

Midnite does have casino. Despite the name of the brand, it's incredibly easy to find their casino offering from their sportsbook, with banners across the top. They also have some bonuses and offers that lead to casino spins should you win sportsbook bets. Check our Casino Sites page for dedicated new online casinos and slot sites.
You can also check out OLBG’s latest addition; our Best Bingo Sites. All of which are, obviously, sites fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.
A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen Midnite has their “Join Now” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.
The Midnite app is very good. The desktop version of the site is better than most, but the app does exactly what you want and that is not to feel too far removed when you switch from one device to the next, but also being product-led, and designed to suit its purpose, rather than just be a mobile version. The Midnite app feels really clean, and is super simple to navigate.
This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to Midnite I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very indeed.
As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the left of the screen. On the app, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like Midnite has got this part nailed.
You can set your deposit limit while you’re signing up; long before you’ve got close to actually making a bet.
There is also a Settings tab at the bottom of the page, no matter what page you’re on, that allows you to make changes to limits, as well as odds formats, or odds change preferences/notifications.
There are the following measures within its functionality:
Deposit Limit
Loss Limit
Session Limit
Wagering Limits
Reality Check
Time-Out
Self-Exclusion
Support Groups & Organisations
Advice on Keeping in Control
Parental Controls
Self-Assessment
All are explained in further detail on their safer gambling page. As well as this, on the same page they list links to the likes of the National Gambling Helpline, Be Gamble Aware and the National Gambling Treatment Service.
