Windsor Tips From Racecourse

Races around a mile and a half horses go both left and right around turns, it’s a bit stop-start and just when a horse seems to have an advantage others swallow him/her up.

Windsor as a course is tough to read, and we would advise a cautious approach when evaluating the form of Windsor races for future races at other tracks.

Evening racing which Windsor specialises in gives longer study time for tipsters, this will hopefully lead to more winning pieces of horse racing advice.

Check OLBG tipsters Windsor's tips and comments on all the individual races.

Windsor Draw Bias

The most profitable stall at Windsor in the win market when breaking it down to race trips is stall 4 over a trip of 5f, backing all runners in this stall over that trip over the past five years would have returned a profit of +108.66. Backing stall 2 at Windsor over a trip of 6f is the most unsuccessful stall and trip combination at Windsor returning an LSP of -112.28 over the last five years.

Here we have the draw bias for Windsor taken into consideration races with ten or more runners, we will break down the figures by race distance, draws can be much more important over the shorter trips in which runners do not have time to find their position during the race meaning the draw is probably more important than the races over longer distances.

  • Sprints (5f to 7½f)
  • Mile (1m to 1m1½f)
  • Middle Distance (1m2f to 1m5½f)

The following table shows a breakdown over a group of trips and shows how each position of the draw does, for example in a twelve-runner race would be Low (Stalls 1-4), Mid (Stalls 5-8) and High (Stalls 9-12), the positions will always be lowest stall number to highest.

Windsor Jockey and Trainer Statistics

Who are the best flat jockeys and trainers to bet on at Windsor?

When looking at profitable trainers only, then it is R M Beckett who leads the way with a total of twenty-eight winners producing an LSP of +18.90 whilst Richard Hannon (Jnr) leads the overall list with thirty-four winners but shows a loss overall. If you are more of an eachway player then you may want to know which trainer is best to follow at Windsor and that would be Jane Chapple-Hyam who shows the best eachway LSP which is +50.82 thanks to their eight placings (two winners). At the other end of the spectrum is P D Evans who has a terrible record at Windsor, of all the trainers their LSP of -72.29 is the worse, they have a 7% strike rate with nine winners from one hundred thirty-two runners.

Not only is Tom Marquand the most successful jockey at Windsor in terms of the number of winners but they have also returned a profit if back all of their rides, Tom Marquand has notched up a total of fifty-eight winners for an LSP of +102.06. When looking at jockeys and looking for some eachway value at Windsor, then the jockey who shows the best eachway profit is Tom Marquand, that LSP is +45.85 which has been accumulated by a total of one hundred thirty-two placings which includes fifty-eight winners.
