US PGA Championship Statistics and History
The USPGA tournament was first played in 1916 and has always been considered the “4th major” due to this status a decision has been made to move the date of the USPGA tournament. This move is taking place to elevate the USPGA and to capture a bigger television audience.
The USPGA now takes place in May after the Masters in April and ahead of both Open Championships. As a betting medium, the USPGA is the least popular of the four majors, we expect that this move will help grow the interest.
The USPGA like all majors except the Masters is played on a variety of courses, although they tend to favour the eastern side of the USA when choosing a course for the tournament.
