WIN @
Won impressively on bumper debut back in April. Makes hurdles debut after 7 months off, and with the stable in such decent form, has every chance.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Strong fancy up 3lb from a decent run in 2nd last time, but with connections putting up a 7lb claimer, meaning she is a net 4lb lower. Improving, and this trip should improve her even more.
EW @
Ran from 7lb out of the handicap when last seen in June. That was a good run considering he did plenty wrong and comes here off his proper mark. Each-way chance.
WIN @
Has been giving nothing more than a schooling ride the last twice and is probably being ridden with handicaps in mind. Only needs one more run for a mark, so I am backing him in this because the price is too juicy to miss, though it may well be next time when connections lump on.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Unlucky last time when a mistake at the last cost him the race. Nudges up 2lb, but connections have a 3lb claimer up top, negating the weight rise.
WIN @
Arguably the best form in the book when 2nd at Cheltenham last time. Form backed up by the winner and a rise of 3lb looks about right with further improvement expected.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Won his first 2 bumpers impressively before being placed in a GD1 when last seen in May, having met all sorts of trouble in running.
WIN @
Unlucky in a similar race around here last time over shorter. Going as well as anything when slithering on landing 3 out. Stable could be in better form, but have had a couple of winners recently, so will go close here.
WIN @
Skelton could have a good day here. The selection ran a good 3rd in a decent race last time, having to come from further back than the first two. Heaney will ride him closer to the pace here.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Dual-purpose horse switching from hurdles to fences. Back to hurdles today after running well over fences last time, running like the best horse at weights, with mistakes costing him the race. New headgear tried today.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Promising reappearance run after 10 months off on penultimate start, when cruising into contention before lack of run told late on. Disappointed last time, upped in trip and is dropped back to 2m today.
WIN @
Well up to winning this under a penalty after finishing 4th in a Listed race last time and winning a similar race to this on penultimate start.
Daily Racing
EW @
Caught the eye on hurdles debut back in March, given a very tender ride, before disappointing in a bumper next time. Seasonal debut for in-form yard and has an each-way chance.
WIN @
Would have likely beaten Roadlesstravelled on penultimate but for making a bad mistake at last from which he couldn't recover in time. Won impressively last time. The one to beat.
Daily Racing
EW @
Won a GD3 at 33/1 last time, getting up late on. Worth backing each way under a 3lb penalty. Needs to improve to confirm form with the Mullins runner but won't be far away.
WIN @
Smart Performer is already a comfortable winner of a Grade 2. Though this is only his second run over fences, he came from the pointing field, so he has plenty of scope.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Won impressively on debut last time, beating a couple of Mullins inmates. Steps up in trip, which should suit as he was strongest at the finish. Worth upping in grade here.
WIN @
Looks well treated here and is dropped back in grade after a good run in 5th in the Greatwood. Should be the favorite in my book and is the one to beat here, a pound lower than last time.
EW @
Probably a good bit better than his mark of 120 and has a regular 3lb claimer on top. Found 3m in heavy too much last time and drops back in trip on this less testing ground. It is an each-way bet.
EW @
Improved to win on handicap debut last time, winning comfortably with the promise of more to come. Is worth an each-way bet from an 8lb higher mark.
WIN @
Won very easily on chase debut last time. Despite losing momentum 3 out after a mistake, rallied and won with plenty in hand. 4lb extra here should be manageable.
WIN @
Always been considered as having a future over fences and needed his reappearance run last time. This will be just his second run over fences. Plenty of improvement to come and dropped a couple of pounds here.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Has a chance if in the same form as on penultimate start. Now down even further in the weights, having disappointed last time, is on too good a mark to ignore.
EW @
Going to the well for one last time with this one, who drops in class here. Was racing in the mid to high 130s at the back end of last season and was running better than form figures suggested. Probably needed the run and was anyway hampered last time. Each-way chance.
WIN @
Probably needed the run on reappearance last time, but was still going well when making a bad mistake 3 out, which knocked the stuffing out of him. Big chance here.
WIN @
Was badly in need of the run last time out last month and will come on significantly for that run. Looked a natural when winning on chase debut on penultimate start and is just 3 lb higher here.
Daily Racing
WIN @
The form of his second last time is about the best on offer here, especially as it was his first run and had conceded first run. This looks a substandard King George, and he is a worthy favorite.
EW @
Runs this track really well, and though not getting any younger, I think most of these have questions to answer. The selection, who was runner-up last year and will have conditions to suit, is a very strong each-way bet.
WIN @
Needed the run after 6 months off last time. Runs from an unchanged mark of 110 with the jockey taking off 7 lb, taking him down to a net 103. Won easily off 98 and was a close 2nd off 106 last season, meaning he should go close here.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Has always been thought of as a chaser and was placed off this mark over hurdles. Set up for this with his run over hurdles on reappearance run last time. Chase debut here and should go well.
WIN @
Already brought up a 4-timer and improved more than 25lb since the beginning of the season. Has had a break and been freshened up. With a bit more improvement expected, decent chance here.
WIN @
Placed off this mark the last time he ran in a handicap back in August, despite making a mistake at a crucial part of the race. Big chance from this mark.
EW @
Off since August but has run well off a break previously. Off 135 is very well handicapped, being 5lb lower than for his last win over fences, so is worth an each-way bet.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Won for the first time in 9 months last time. Won very easily and though goes up 7lb, he has won off this new mark in February, so is expected to win here.
EW @
Fit from the flat and best of those who have raced on the flat. A couple of unknown quantities, but based on his flat mark, should be around a 130 horse over jumps at present, which should be enough to go close.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Couldn't quite get the job done in attempting to follow up last time and is worth chancing here coming off the same mark.
WIN @
Should be fully wound up now, having had a couple of runs this month after 7 months off. Won from a 7 lb higher mark over hurdles in April, so every chance here.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Won very easily last time when bringing up a 4-timer. In this form, I do not think that an extra 5lb here will prevent him from making it 5 on the trot.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Didn't take to fences on chase debut, jumping ponderously last time and now reverts back to hurdles on a very attractive mark. Won his novice race over course and distance here 3 years ago. Lightly raced. Big chance.
Daily Racing
EW @
One to back each way, which would become a strong bet if a strong pace could be guaranteed. On a workable mark, dropped a pound here.
Daily Racing
WIN @
Of significant interest down in grade and dropped 3lb, having had no chance from a poor draw last time. Much better draw this time around. Strong bet.
