He's not a foregone conclusion as he has finished 2nd here on a few occasions. But as a 9-year-old, he seems to have improved, and 9-year-olds have won 5 of the last 7 renewals of this race. He's won 3 out of 3 this season, including Grade 2 here in November. He's top-rated here off 171 and the one to beat.

Has been consistent in all 4 runs this season 2 placed runs at Haydock & Doncaster over 16.5f on soft & on good & a win at Newbury on good to soft also over 16.5f showing good ground versatility & another improved run can't be discounted for the Elite Racing Club .

Runs here off a mark of 130, and she's unbeaten in both of her starts over rules. Firstly, on debut, winning at Punchestown over 18.5f, ensuring stamina for today's race. Then in Grade 2 mares on soft over 16f at Leopardstown on her last run. She's getting the 7 lb allowance off her male counterparts. It's been a long while since a mare won the Champion Bumper, but she should give you a good run for your money.

Only rated 118 but has won on 4 occasions and with 1 placed run from 6 starts this season from class 4 to class 2 races. So this is a massive step up. Has gone up 17 lbs over the course of those runs with wins coming over 16-16.5f and has shown ground versatility with wins on good up to soft.

Lightly raced 7-year-old, still a maiden over chase fences, but has been placed twice from four runs over 16 & 17f on good & good to yielding. However, it has struggled on the other 2 runs that have been on very testing conditions, so it should enjoy the ground on Thursday.

Lightly raced 6-year-old who's run okay in the last 2 runs when stepping up in distance. Finished 5th of 25 at Leopardstown over 24f on soft, and then 18 days ago at Naas over 23f was 4th of 19. Will probably find 1 or 2 better today but could make the frame at decent odds.

Equal top-rated horse here running off a mark of 166. Has only run twice in the UK, both runs in King George, romping home in 2023. Then, when looking like he'd go back to back, got pipped by Banbridge in last year's race. Both races were on good ground, and he'll probably get good to soft on Thursday, which should suit. If the ground were bottomless, I'd be looking elsewhere.

Looking to emulate from recent times Flooring Porter by trying to win back to back renewals of this race . Has only ran once this season after a 213 day break finishing 2nd to Lossiemouth over 20f which is an unsuitable trip for the tip & will be much more at home with the extra 4f & will be fresh after 102 day break .

In a big field like this, I'd usually go for an each way bet. But the tip has been very impressive so far in its career, winning 3 of 4 runs from 19.5f to 20.5f, including here over CD 47 days ago in class 2 on soft by 2.5L. It still has lots more improvement to come.

Has unseated and fell in her last two runs but has a good record here at the course. Winning the Open Hunters Chase at last year's Festival, pipping It's On The Line to glory. Was 3rd here in a non-festival race over 26f in 2022 and then went one place better in 2023 over 22.5f, so has an obvious affinity for this course.
