Oh boy, this is BGT with a reskin of plenty of previous games, which, if you've played them before, you know could be a little tedious, and indeed, with 32 low-value wins over 100 spins, although being a high frequency, the win value was poor at just 1.25x

The saving grace was hitting the free spins round on spin 83, whereby a handy 95.7x bonus round was achieved, bringing the overall 100 spin test session RTP up to 136%. Another 17 spins without that, and I would have been looking at a brutal session.

Graphically The Race Megaways is a game that fits into all the classic Big Time Gaming stereotypes that we’ve seen in past games with the same generic symbols used, the reliance on similar features and much more. The eye test from the start shows us a visually appealing game that we’ve come used to Big Time Gaming producing and creating with bright lights instantly loading up as soon as you enter the game.

It’s hard not to compare The Race Megaways to quiz shows that appear on UK television every single daytime with similar components used that the British public have grown to love on these shows over the years. The soundtrack is similar to something that you’d see on The Chase with an eerily similar heartbeat noise between spins like you’re about to answer a question against The Beast himself.

Big Time Gaming are no strangers to a quiz show themed slot and The Race Megaways actually plays similarly to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Megaways with the reels looking almost identical, but you don’t have the gamble feature for more spins in this game like that one.

Wild Symbols

The Race Megaways features wilds on the bottom reel with these wild symbols replacing every symbol except scatters and while in the bonus terminator symbols. These Wild symbols are interesting as they also can offer Wild Duplication, where all symbols on the vertical reel it lands on are replaced by Wilds. In free spins each wild that is added to the reels during Wild Duplication gains a multiplier up to 5x.
