The Fighter Pit slot has 5 reels, 4 rows and 14 fixed paylines. Winning combinations are created in a pretty familiar fashion: land 3, 4 or 5 identical symbols from left to right (beginning from reel 1) and across any of the 14 paylines. Only the highest payout is awarded per payline naturally.

With a fighting/arcade game theme, the Fighter Pit slot takes place in a gritty back alley battleground where fights go toe-to-toe to emerge victorious. On first impressions, you’ll see a fighter on either side of the reels which instantly reminded me of the Street Fighter 2 video game. You can change which 2 fighters appear at any time by pressing/clicking the desired fighters which appear above the reels.

With a rather cheesy 80s-style rock soundtrack, symbols on the reels include low-value A, K, Q, J and 10 royals. The higher-value symbols consist of guitarist, pirate, cowboy and roller fighters with both the pirate and guitarist paying 10 times your total bet for 5 in combination.

The Fighter Pit slot has a quartet of bonus features. Central to the gameplay are Fist symbols which, when activated, expand to award Wild Fist Reels. With 2 free spins features, the aim is to collect Victory Points which sees your Victory Level rise. Each level you reach awards an Epic Drop respin where you’re guaranteed a certain number of Fist symbols.

Wild Fist Reels

Look out for Fist symbols as, when activated, expand into a Wild Fist Reel that begins from the position of the Fist symbol and rises upwards to the top of the reel. Fist symbols only activate if the Wild Fist Reel will be part of at least 1 winning combination. Acting as wilds, they substitute for all paying symbols.

Now, Fist symbols will belong to the Red or Green team: this is indicated by the colour of the Fist symbol. If the Fist symbol punches a fighter symbol of the opposite team or a Wild, a multiplier is added to the Wild Fist Reel which applies to every winning combination it’s part of.

If the Fist symbol expands through several fighter symbols, the multiplier values are added together and applied to the Wild Fist Reel. If a winning combination involves multiple Wild Fist Reels, their multiplier values are combined and then applied. Multipliers range between 2x and 200x. Finally, only 1 Fist symbol can land per reel.

Showdown

When you land 3 FS Scatter symbols simultaneously during a base game spin, you’ll trigger the Showdown feature with 10 free spins.

With Wild Fist Reels like in the base game, the Red and Green teams battle against each other to reach higher Victory Levels. Each team begins at Victory Level 3+: each time a Fist symbol punches an opponent’s fighter or Wild symbol, the Fist’s team earns 1 Victory Point.

When the Red or Green team collects 3 Victory Points, a respin with an Epic Drop is awarded with the winning team’s Victory Level rising by 1. The number of Fist symbols that land during the Epic Drop respin depends on the team’s Victory Level:

However, Fist symbols landing during the Epic Drop respin will not contribute to the winning team’s Victory Level. Finally, 2 or 3 FS Scatter symbols will reward you with 2 or 4 extra free spins, respectively (with no limits).

Ultimate Showdown

When you land 4 FS Scatter symbols at the same time during a base game spin, you’ll activate the Ultimate Showdown feature. With 10 free spins awarded, it’s like the Showdown feature but each team begins at Victory Level 4+. If you land 2 or 3 scatters, 2 or 4 more free spins are won.

For that reason, it doesn’t have quite the same appeal. The gameplay focuses on Fist symbols which, when activated, award Wild Fist Reels. If the Fist symbol punches a fighter symbol of the opposite team or a Wild, a multiplier up to 200x will be added to the Wild Fist Reel. Multiple Wild Fist Reels will see multipliers added together too.

With 2 free spins features, Red and Green teams battle each other. Each time you collect 3 Victory Points, you’ll get an Epic Drop respin with a certain number of Fist symbols guaranteed to land. With the Victory Level also rising by 1, Victory Levels 3+, 4+ or 5+ ensure at least 3, 4 or 5 Fist symbols land, respectively. In the Ultimate Showdown feature, you begin at a higher Victory Level.

The key is to land Fist symbols on the bottom rows which expand upwards for a bigger Wild Fist Reel which in turn brings in multipliers. With 10,000 times bet max wins, Fighter Pit may look the part but fails to deliver due to it being a clone.
