Premier League Darts Statistics and History
The Premier League of Darts has been running since 2005 with Phil the Power Taylor the most successful player in the tournament's short history. The Power has won 6 Premier Darts titles.
The tournament commences in February and finishes in May across 16 successive Thursday nights. The format has been rejigged since launching and now features generally the top 8 players in the world playing in a knockout format each week, players past the first stage each week win points based on their level of progress and elimination. The best four players by league position then progress to compete on Darts Play-Offs night in May.
The venues for different Premier League Darts nights are all around Europe, with Ireland, Germany and Holland as well as the UK sharing the hosting of the Premier League Darts.
