To me INSPIRAL has the best form in this contest and trainer John Gosden is a master at preparing horses for these valuable races. This horse is ultra consistent and given the fact we know she has a great record in today's conditions she must be given maximum respect. She entered in some classic races such as the Queen Anne stakes, the prince of Wales stakes and the Coral Eclipse so must have a massive chance to in this.

GOODWOOD ODYSSEY has a great chance in this contest. David Menuisier has a 40% strike rate at Newbury in 2024 and has a 30.77% SR in flat turf events in the last fortnight. He also has a decent strike rate with his 3 year olds in 2024 which boosts confidence. When teaming up with today's jockey they have a 50% SR in 2024. His runners over this trip have a 27.27% strike rate and this trainer has a 50% strike rate in this class of race and a good strike rate in this size of field. David Menuisier is on a 25% strike rate in May so all in all this horse has to have a massive chance here.

The horse also has a 50% SR In this class of race. John Gosden has a 22.73% strike rate at this track and a decent strike rate with his 4 year olds. When Oisin rides for Gosden they have a 33.33% strike rate in the last 12 months. Gosden also has a 28.57% strike rate with his runnera over this trip. I'm expecting this horse to be right there at the finish.

CUCKOO VALLEY represents Willie Mullins here who a winner yesterday with Ballygunner castle who is also by Soldier Of Fortune. The trainers strike rate at clonmel is a whopping 44.44% and his 5 year olds have a 27% SR. Patrick and Willie Mullins have a 24.24% strike rate when teaming up which is pretty impressive. Mullins has a 27.59% strike rate with his runners over this trip and a 21% strike rate with runners on this going. Massive player even on debut here.

FAIFA is a well bred Galileo filly that cost 500,000 guineas as a yearling. Gosden has a 25% strike rate both at Salisbury and with his 3 year olds. When Gosden teams up with today's jockey they have a 27.78% SR which enhances this horse's chances even further. Given that Galileo himself started his 3 year old career over 10f it seems a logical starting place. Must have a big say in the finish here.

KASSAYA is a very well bred Kingman filly costing 1 million guineas. Her trainer, Andrew Balding, has had 1 runner at Salisbury so far in 2024 and that won. The jockey and trainer partnership has a near 20% strike rate and is profitable to follow. Andrew Balding has had 2 runners at Salisbury making their debuts over 5f of which 1 won and the other was placed which bodes well for this horses debut. Balding's runners in this size of field have a 24.18% SR. Trainers strike rate in may is 22.22 and if you'd backed all runners you would have returned nearly £40 to a £1 stake. Plenty of reasons to see my selection winning on her debut.

He's trained 1 debutant over today's trip at Windsor, called Dunes King. 36.36% SR with his 3 year olds and Tom Marquand rides for Harry today having ridden just once for this trainer previously. I'm happy to take a small punt on this horse. The trainer has a decent strike rate here and his 4 year olds are 4 wins from 12 runs. Trainer and jockey partnership is going well (near 20% strike rate). Trainer's runners over this trip have a 33.33% SR and I can see this horse running very well.

AIMERIC looks to be very well treated in this race. It's his first visit to the course and so there is a slight question mark as to whether this track will suit but I think it will. The distance and going will definitely suit (75% strike rate over the distance and 40% strike rate on similar going). Roger Varian has a 23.33% strike rate at Lingfield, a 22.58% SR with his 5 year olds and a 25% SR over this trip (last 12 months). Big player

John Gosden is 1 from 1 at Nottingham in 2024 and I fancy the chance of this son of Galileo to make it 2 from 2. He was an expensive purchase at 500,000 guineas and with a price tag like that he should be winning at a far higher level in time than a class 5. I would imagine this going will suit as a lot of Galileo progeny do like a bit of cut. A 24% strike rate with his three years olds only goes to heighten expectations and add to that this yards 29.64% strike rate with runners over this trip it really does bode well for this horse. 35% strike rate in class 5 races boosts the chances even more. At least place prospects in this for THEORY OF TIDES.

HAJARA represents my favourite jockey and trainer partnership. No doubt about stamina as this horses sire, Mastercraftsmen, ran well over trips up to 10f. Stables 3 year olds are performing well and pretty well over this trip. Varian's strike rate this month stands at 26.67%, and if backing all runners so far you'd get a decent return. Big player

There's no doubt the favourite is one of the key protagonists BUT I'm going to side with DASHING DARCEY. He's unbeaten over the trip and has previously run well on similar going. Sharp tracks like this clearly suit (won at Lingfield which is a sharp track). There's more than enough evidence this is his trip so everything is set for a big run. Player

THE FLYING SEAGULL represents Hugo Palmer who's got a good strike rate at Chester and his strike rate when Oisin Murphy is 50% and his 2 year olds have been in decent form. His runners in this class of race have a decent strike rate and his runner here yesterday was fairly promising given that the horse was given far too much to do given the pace of the race. Hugo's strike rate in races with this size of field is over 21 and his runners in such races are highly profitable. Place prospects at decent odds.

I've a suspicion that this horse could be amongst the places come the finish. CLEVER AND CUTE is a well bred Belardo filly. She's being backed in the market and Bolger knows how to ready a newcomer. She also receives 5lb fillies allowance against the males and whilst his record with 3 year olds isn't that of some I can see her making the frame. She has a great draw to operate from too.

AURIC is a very interesting runner here for the Hugo Palmer yard. His yard has been a bit quiet on the winner front but he has a good strike rate at this track (18.52% SR and £21.16 profit to a £1 stake (last 12 months)) which is important. His 3 year olds have been in great form in 2024 and are highly profitable to follow too (23.64% SR and £87.10 profit to a £1 stake in 2024),. His runners over the trip run well as they do in this class of race. I fancy this horse could make the places at least.

YAROOGH's breeding caught my eye and it strikes me that this Dubawi colt is overpriced @10/1. William Haggas is on a 20% strike rate in the last fortnight. Gosden's runners on turf have a 22.22% strike rate and his 3 year olds are on a 24% strike rate. This horse's stats make fantastic reading. She's 1 from 2 over course and distance, has a 66.7% strike rate over the distance and has a 33.33% strike rate on similar going, has a 50% strike rate in this class of race and both trainer and jockey have 50% strike rates with this horse. She has been majorly overlooked in the market and I hope you'll take advantage.

KITTERIDGE is an interesting runner here for Hugh Palmer. She's nicely bred and she won at Newcastle fairly comfortably from Sea Ice for John Gosden who won next time out. Hugo's 3 year olds are in fine form and his runners over this trip are going well and this jockey and trainer partnership is one to follow. Place prospects at least.

ALAKAI is my selection here. She ran very eye catchingly well last time out and is taken to build on that run in this event. Fabre has his string in good form and the fact that this horse has already performed on this ground and Fabre has a great 37.04% strike rate at Longchamp.
