Horses that run well on debut at Newmarket are worth following on second start and OXFORD COMMA is such a type of runner here. This filly ran well on debut last year over 7f finishing third where winners have come from that race since. Should relish the step up to 10f here judged on breeding. Plenty of well bred newcomers in the race all have to be noted if backed.

MORTLAKE won well on second start and then was pitched into a group 3 at Sandown and finished 2 lengths in fifth place. Has been gelded since and makes handicap debut on what looks a fair mark. Is another who will need to improve to win but has been given plenty of time and looks a good each way play here ( 4 pl ).

The Gosden stable have the short fav here and looks a major player but better value is with CLASSICAL SONG who can be excused the run on soft over a mile at Newmarket last Oct and better judged on the strong performance on fast ground at Sandown last Sep winning easily. Up to 10f looks sure to suit here.

IMPATIENT is very lightly raced and open to progress and has been given plenty of time since a runner up finish last year in a novice hurdle at Carlisle. Has had a wind op since and the O'Neill stable do well with runners after a wind op . Improving on last run should be hard to beat.
