Majority of my bets will be 10/1 or higher unless something majorly stands out.

GIUSEPPE CASSIOILI has a mixed record when fresh, but has run well including a win in 2020 off a long break. 217 days since he was last seen today, but on previous form he does have a chance, especially based on his 2nd of 15 3 starts back at Killarney. He was only half a length off the winner that day over a mile off 72, and he's dropped 4lb since then so looks well handicapped. Every chance he could need the run but his odds make him appealing and he's avoided the high draw which tends to be beneficial here at this distance.

THE WHIPMASTER made his seasonal reappearance last time out at Windsor, and certainly looked as though he'll be better for the run. only finished 6th of 8th but he has previous form in the book that that gives him a chance today. Back in August last year he was a very close 2nd of 11 off 85 over 11.5f, and he's 4lb lower than that today, and is also tried in a first time Cheekpieces and Tongue strap combination. Clearly stays the trip fine and ground conditions won't be an issue, so current odds look very fair value.

ENTHRALLMENT hasn't been seen for 119 days and has also changed yards in that time, which may prove beneficial if they've managed to perk him up a bit. Wasn't at his best on his last two starts, both on the all weather and neither showing his true ability. His last go on turf was over 10f at Ascot, running off a mark of 83 and finishing 2nd and being within a length of the winner. He's gone well fresh before which is always a bonus and has proven himself effective over todays distance. He's a big price but if new yard has revived him there's no reason he can't be competitive.

SOVEREIGN DUKE made his reappearance last season in this race (5 starts back), going off 40-1 but finishing a very close 2nd of 13 off a mark of 97. Didn't seem to hit those heights in the four runs that followed, but he looks a good bit of value if he can repeat that feat on his return this season, or maybe even go one better this time in first time blinkers and now 4lb lower. Ground conditions look to be in his favour and jockey claiming 7lb has a good bond with him.

It was his first start for over a year so it would be fair to cut him some slack, and if he can step forward from that at a course he goes well at generally, then he could outrun his odds. He finished 6th of 28 3 starts back at Goodwood off a mark of 107, and he's 10lb lower than that now.

GAME MANAGEMENT has so far proven much better on turf than on the all weather, something which he may be able to exploit now returning to a more natural surgface. His last two outings have come at Southwell and Newcastle respectively, and he's shown nothing of much note. Mark has dropped 6lb since his handicap debut (2 starts back) now due to this, and his 2nd of 10 at Thirsk over 7f back in September last year is actually solid form for this grade. He steps up markedly in trip from that today, tackling 10f for the first time, but he does have stamina in his pedigree, and his dam was half sister to Mildenberger who was decent over longer trips. Has plenty to prove despite the likelihood he will stay, and may improve for the increase in trip, but he is also a massive price at present so with that in mind is worth an each way bet.

Had excuses last time out when running over 10f on soft ground at Doncaster, but returns to the all weather here at Newcastle which should see him much more at home. Not much pace on offer so every chance he could dictate from the front if he wishes, and good each way price on offer.

COLLINGHAM has been running in much better races than he finds himself in today, mainly due to a few below par performances at that level. That said, his mark has dropped considerably because of this, and whilst at first glance his results in 2024 haven't been anything spectacular, they look good at the level he runs at today. Most notably was his 9th of 13 at Musselburgh 3 starts back off 119 (now 110) over a similar distance he runs over today and ground conditions won't be an issue. Good value as it stands and shouldn't be ruled out.

LOCO LOBO gave the impression that the drop back to 5f here will suit last time out, as she pulled very hard throughout making it somewhat impressive she managed to finish 4th of 12. She's dropped 1lb since then, and if you look back at her win over this distance at Haydock back in July last year (3 starts back) off 51, she looks competitively weighted.

DINOLAND arguably had excuses the last couple of times, running over fences for the first time last time out, and the time prior to that was his first start of the season. He also ended last season with a tame effort, but before that managed two good 2nd place finishes off marks of 97 and then 110 (granted over slightly further) but that suggests this mark of 98 is a workable one. He's tried in a first time Blinkers and Tongue strap combination, and this jockey certainly knows how to get the best out of him.

SPIRIT MIXER has been sparingly raced over the last couple of years, only having 3 starts since July 22. That happened to be his best 'recent' form, finishing a very respectable 6th of 16 at Newmarket off a mark of 100. The ground was on the quick side but has coped with softer ground conditions before. Sees this trip out well and the addition of cheekpieces may get him back to somewhere near his best for his in form yard, whilst the 6lb drop since that run to 94 will also be of benefit.

IMPEACH is a big price today based on the last time he ran over 6f at Brighton on turf. That was a long time ago, back in August 2022, but given he's been raced predominantly on the all weather bar a few turf runs in-between, its possible that he still retains that ability now switching back. That course and distance effort saw him finish a close 2nd of 11 off a mark of 81 in a class 4, so the 66 he goes off today in a class 6 could prove to be light work if he's on a going day. He's got a 94 day absence to overcome but the price makes him well worth a punt in this especially with a strong pace to aim at.

MICHAELAS BOY hasn't run to his best since a very tight 2nd of 16 at the Curragh over 5f back in July last year (5 starts back). That run came off a mark of 97, and he's dropped a fair way in 4 runs since, now 90. First time Tongue Strap goes on hoping to bring about an upturn in form and based on his best is weighted to be competitive.

ALGHAZAAL has been off for 93 days since last seen, finishing 9th of 12 at Lingfield back in February. Prior to that he'd run well in two previous starts, finishing 2nd at of 11 in December off a mark of 55 before a 3rd of 9 off 56, both over 12f. On that evidence, the 53 he goes off today should make him competitive and he sees the trip out fine. He's never raced around here so the course is an unknown but plenty to like on paper and big odds on offer make him very appealing.

Ground won't be an issue and decent odds on offer at present.

There's a chance ANOTHER MYSTERY will need the run but if he's tuned up in a first time hood, he has the form in the book to be competitive today. Best recent run was three starts back with a win over hurdles at Fontwell off a mark of 93 over a similar trip. Switched back to fences after that and although only 7th of 9, he actually ran better than that suggests off a mark of 99, and if he can get close to that level today of a much reduced 87, could prove a solid bit of value at present.

STAR STYLE is sure to improve significantly for her debut run last time out which, in all honestly was very impressive. She won over 7f by 5 and a half lengths and travelled strongly throughout before striding clear towards the end. She's the least exposed in the field, and if she takes the step forward she's entitled to after her last run, then could play a big part in this, and is almost certain to cope with this step up in distance.

ADJUVANT has run well when fresh previously, so that is already a positive here having not run for 166 days. He's also won over course and distance before which is a bonus, and his last run around here was 5 starts back when a good 2nd of 11 off the same mark he goes off today, albeit on heavy ground on that occasion. Mark looks a fair one and if he's tuned up for this should go close at a decent price.

BLAZING SOILDER only has 2 runs to date, his debut being the most notable with a win against a field of 14, albeit by a close margin. That was over 16f, the same trip he runs over today, and if he can put his poor run las time out behind him, could be very competitive in this. Didn't quite seem to get the trip last time out (stepped up to 19f), so may well be the right decision to drop back in distance and the jockey booking catches the eye.

PEDRO VALENTINO made his return last time out with a creditable 3rd of 7 effort on his first try over the 7f trip. Definitely proved he stayed the distance having stepped up form 6f, but despite shaping well, lack of race fitness seemed to take its toll at the end. With that behind him, he's sure to take another step forward, especially with the likelihood of more improvement to come. Goes on quicker ground today than the only other attempt on turf (heavy going) but no obvious reason that would be a problem and looks weighted to go close in this with fair mark.

CAPTAIN VALLO goes in a first time Tongue Strap today and its hoped that it will bring about a return to form. He ran over 7f last time out, but its not his optimum trip and this return to 6f will certainly suit. He's won over course and distance here before, and his mark has tumbled over the last 5 runs from 63 to 55. Looking well weighted on some of his older, better form, especially the 4th of 10 he managed at Southwell at the start of the year. Currently offers solid value and should go close if on song.

HANDS ON appears to have some solid form from his two career runs to date as a 3 year old, starting out with a respectable 4th of 6 effort, but followed up more notably by a cosy looking win last time out at Cork over 16f on good to soft ground. Rivals he beat that day have had varied fortunes themselves since, but some of the principle players on that day have come out and improved, some winning in the process. On that evidence, he could prove to be well weighted and especially as he's sure to improve, should be a big player assuming lack of race fitness doesn't get the better of him.

Followed that up with a decent effort when 6th of 12 at Leopardstown over similar trip. Still only a 4 year old no surprise to see him go well again.

WORLD OF DREAMS made a long awaited return back in March following nearly two years off. Still showed himself to have retained plenty of ability finishing 3rd of 6 over 21f. That was run off a mark of 115, and he's dropped 3lb for it. Its his penultimate run that is of most interest, when winning an 8 runner affair over 20f on heavy ground. That is a strong level of form for this race here and any repeat of that would give him a great chance at big odds. Has to take a step forward from last time out to do so but certainly shaped as though he will come on for that race. Yard in good form and not one to write off.

Question mark over how he'll handle the quicker ground but is as yet untested on such conditions so no reason to think he can't, and at the odds is well worth an each way punt.

ROSSIES TARA was tailed off last time finishing last of 14, albeit racing on the unfavourable part of the track. Her penultimate run was ruined by poor jumping and eventually unseated her rider having been working her way into the race. If she can put both those runs behind her and get back to the level of her 4th of 17 at Galway back in September last year, then she stands a good chance today. She's off the same mark and looks weighted to be competitive if race ready, and it helps that she's gone well fresh before.

HEAD AND HEART has been out of sorts the last 3 races, failing to finish on each occasion. It's the change of headgear today with first time blinkers applied that catches the eye as it may be enough to get her focus back. Only 2lb higher than that, and if the Blinkers have the desired effect then she could certainly play her part.

RED HEEL has gone well fresh a few times in her career, so it would be no surprise to see a competitive performance from her over a course and distance she's won before. She's moved yards since last seen, and although the yard haven't been in the best of form of late, it may be the switch that sparks new life into her following a couple of very poor runs to end last season. She goes off 72 today, 1lb lower than the 73 she finished a close 3rd of 9 off back in September last year (3 runs back) and any repeat of that sort of effort would put her in the frame amongst this field.

WAHRAAN has to be given a chance in this on old form, even if that was from back in 2022. He finished 3rd of 5 back in Aug 22 in a class 2 off a mark of 94, much higher than the 82 he runs off today. Only 3 runs since then so clearly raced very sparingly, but full of ability on his day. Latest run was his first for over a year when 10th of 12 at Southwell on the all weather, but has always seemed far better on turf, and is well suited to this trip. Goes in first time Hood today and is well weighted amongst this field. Has a lot to prove but was looked after last time out having been poorly placed and probably has an eye on some turf outings this season all being well.

If TRESHNISH is on a going day then he has every chance in this based on his 4th of 6 effort here back in December. That was a creditable effort off a mark of 98, and now runs off a mark of 85 following to well below par efforts. Both of those were away from Hexham where he has solid course and distance form to his name, and in first time blinkers may well outrun his odds. Fair each way value.

ARECIBO goes here after a 204 day absence, but now at a new trainer may have been rejuvenated, albeit at the age of 9. Didn't finish last season all that strongly but prior to his last two runs to end last season, he finished a very close 3rd of 12 off a mark of 92 over 5f. Down to a mark of 86 on his return and also has a very good stall to work from in this. Yard switch may help him and if he's ready to go should be competitive off a reduced rating.

BIRD OF PLAY has switched yards since he was last season, now running for Liam Bailey, and it may prove to be a way for him to regain his best form. Far from his best towards the end of last season, and has since had a break of 194 days. That said, he was an incredibly close 2nd of 10 at Doncaster back in June last year off a mark of 71, which was followed up by another respectable 3rd of 10 over the same course and distance off just 1lb higher. If he manages a performance similar to those then he certainly has a chance in this, now running off 66. Good jockey in the saddle with a good low draw and what appears likely to be a decent pace to aim at.

NEVER SHOUT NEVER ran a massive race the last time he was seen over 6f ( 4 starts back) finishing 2nd of 22 over course and distance off a mark of 86. Ran over 5f the next three times off higher marks, but the drop back to 86 and increase in trip back to 6f may be the key to another big run from him, especially with proven form on heavy and a decent enough draw to work from. Couple of runs under his belt now this season so could be primed for this.

YOUNG JACK will definitely benefit from the step back up in trip here, having shown his best form in three runs to date over 20f when winning a Novice by 5 lengths up against 10 rivals. Wasn't disgraced dropped in trip last time out finishing 3rd of 7, but certainly gave the impression he wants further. Goes over 3 mile for the first time today and given the likelihood of improvement is sure to be a massive player in this, and ground conditions won't be a problem.

MR VANGO has gone up 15lb for his win at Exeter back in February when running over 3m6f off 120 on heavy ground. Cleary has plenty of ability over these sort of trips and on testing ground, so stamina will be no concern today. The big rise in the weights would usually put me off, however he won that race by 60 lengths against a field of 8, so there's a strong case to be made that the rise is warranted. If he can run to that level again then he has every chance in this and at fair value too.

He's has been well below form the last twice, but those runs have come over 16f, and he's arguably more effective over todays distance. With that in mind and his tumbling mark, he offers some solid value, especially at a venue he's gone well at before.

LADY DREAMER needs to prove she is ready to go having been off for 151 days, but if she is then there's every chance she will win today. When last seen she won over 6f at Wolverhampton off 71, and off only 3lb higher today should continue to progress, and now with first time cheekpieces. She's undergone wind surgery during her break as well which may well aid her chances moving forward. Far from the best of the draw but top jockey and definitely and each way chance.

HYMAC has given the impression that he will be suited by further than he has so far been tested over, especially when 3rd of 9 at Taunton on his penultimate start. That came off a mark of 122, and has already dropped 2lb since then following a creditable 2nd of 7 last time out, albeit over what is unlikely to be an ideal trip (20f) Still lightly raced certainly well weighted to be competitive in this for his in form yard if taking to the extra distance today as expected. Seems likely to have more in his locker than currently shown and very fair value in this.

LALLYGAG was a very good 3rd of 13 in this race last year, that coming off a mark of 132 on good ground. Similar conditions faced again today, but now 4lb lower and sure to go well here for his in form yard with Cobden again in the saddle for this race. Out of sorts since that effort but has come down in the weight and will likely appreciate the step back up in distance having run over 2 mile (including a couple of Chase outings) the last 3 occasions.
