Nephin Beg a 6yo gelding trained by Sean Thomas Doyle is relatively unexposed as a chaser with just four starts and has been fancied being sent off 4-1jf and 9-4 in last two efforts and returns to chasing after a promising hurdles run last time out in first time cheekpieces (retained today) Prominent throughout, disputed lead approaching last, led home turn, headed final 110yds, weakened towards finish - the new headgear seems to have sparked some life into Nephin Beg and it could be a good time to catch with trainers last runner Kalium bolting up by 19l the other day and Nephin Beg won't mind the hustle and bustle of this big field having won a 25 runner hurdle on handicap hurdle debut

Commanding View is a lightly raced 6yo gelding trained by Mel Rowley won on handicap hurdle debut in January over todays trip and good to soft going - disappointing next start but the good ground and 19f may have been his undoing - bounced back to form last start when beaten 2l by King Of The Road (won previous race) and finished 25l ahead of the third posting a career high RPR of 108 over today's trip and going so comes here in good form Mel Rowley a trainer in sizzling form winning with 4 of her last 7 runners and as such with conditions to suit Commanding View is my short priced banker of the day

Nomenclature a 4yo filly trained by John S O'Donoghue is lightly raced and remains unexposed on turf over this trip - best run come four starts back over 12.5f when beaten 1.25l under Nathan Crosse (no claim) posting a career high RPR of 76 and whilst not cutting any ice in three handicaps since returns to turf after two spins on the AW - runs today off just 53 with Joseph Harnett 10lb so looks very well handicapped - trainer has sent out 3 horses of late with a realistic chance (last was 200-1) and his Sheen Falls Time bolted by 3.75l and Currumbin was beaten just a neck so clearly is yard is in tip top form and it could be a good time to catch Nomenclature at a very appealing 33-1

Firm Belief a lightly raced 6yo mare with just 8 runs on turf is trained by Rodger Sweeney - only win and best run to date posting a career high RPR of 68 come at todays track (only run here) over 14f off a mark of 55 under todays jockey Seamie Heffernan 25-1 into 16-1 - that win come after a promising run at Tipperary finishing 8/18 and comes back here after another promising run at Gowran Park last time out finishing 6/16 weakened in final furlong over 14f and 16-1 into 14-1 - today's drop in trip to 13f should suit and any market support may be significant and Firm Belief is definitely one to have on side again under Seamie Heffernan

Goodwood Odyssey is a lightly raced 3yo colt 1-2-1 and 2/2 wins on turf is trained by David Menuisier (won with 3 of his last 5 runners) and comes here in good form beating two of today's runners at Sandown Brioni (won previous race) Prepschool and Queen Of Atlantis (won previous 3 races) - the good to soft going and 10f trip are ideal and the manner Goodwood Odyssey won at Sandown suggests connections have a seriously progressive colt on their hands and will prove to be upto the task in this valuable handicap

Ladyeze Man is a lightly raced 6yo gelding trained by J P Flavin and whilst disappointing last twice over what may prove to be inadequate trips there is definitely a race to be won off 91 being so well found in the market last time out 7-1 (trip too far) suggests connections have faith - finished 2/17 at Cork on handicap hurdle debut three starts back over 19f and the 3/17 Herculaneum 4l behind has since won showing recent form figures 2-1-2-5 and is rated some 12lb higher - Ladyeze Man may appreciate todays drop in trip to 17.5f and the application of a first time tongue tie under the guidance of Keith Donaghue one of the hottest jockeys over jumps right now 7/18 wins in recent weeks and landed a hat trick yesterday at Kilbeggan so I expect a positive ride from the front and Ladyeze Man looks like a knocking each way bet at 12-1

Teddy Boy a 9yo gelding trained by Edward Lynam is 5/92 wins and a two time course winner over 5f but has won over todays 6f - reverts to turf having been running on the AW of late and is starting to look well handicapped - on last two turf starts both coming at Navan he finished 4/20 6/22 posting RPR of 61-63 and takes his chance today off 47 with Sorcha Woods taking off 7lb and jockey was recently seen to good affect winning on 20-1 chance Northcliffe at Ascot - Teddy Boy loves the track and is ground versatile and won't mind the hustle and bustle of today's big field having won 5 times in fields of 14 or more

Chestnutter a 5yo mare trained by Noel Meade is a two time winner both on today's good ground and has course form 3-1-3 - sits 4lb above last winning mark on 70 but should be capable having been beaten just 1.75l off 74 at todays track - Ferrybank is today's favourite and Chestnutter give Ferrybank 6lb when beating him by a short head at Leopardstown (ridden by todays jockey Colin Keane) last year over 7f and today gives Ferrybank 1lb yet Chestnutter is 12-1 and Ferrybank is 5-2 doesn't make sense - downside is Chestnutter has a 203 day absence to overcome however Noel Meade knows how to ready one as since 2012 he has sent out 192 winners after a 90+ day break the highest tally of winners in any days absence between 0-90 days off the track so Chestnutter could be primed and ready on a ground and a course she has taken too

Forlio a 5yo gelding trained by Paul W Flynn and ridden by Colin Keane makes stable debut having left Edward Bethells yard and could prove to be extremely well handicapped off 60 - finished 4/7 (RPR 63) three starts back beaten 4.75l having led behind Frankendael (RPR 73) Reach (RPR 64) and Broadspear (RPR 66) and they have now posted a career high RPR of 80-94-88 which are significant improvements and Forlio could be absolutely chucked in off 60 and with the guidance of Colin Keane hopefully from the front end Forlio could be extremely difficult to peg back given a positive ride

Linger For Longer a 5yo mare trained by Augustine Leahy is hardly prolific 1/23 wins but capable off todays mark - last win come off 64 under Billy Lee when winning a 16 runner Cork handicap posting a career high RPR of 78 - runs today off 60 under Wayne Hassett and his 7lb claim - she showed her well being on seasonal reappearance behind Pinar Del Rio (today's favourite) when finishing 5/17 at the Curragh after a 208 day absence beaten 3.5l Prominent, challenging over 1f out, weakened final 110yds on soft ground (Dylan Browne McMonagle rode with no claim) that was a solid return and she is 15lb better off today with Pinar Del Rio with Wayne Hassetts claim and looks a solid bet off 60 on ground which shouldn't inconvenience and will strip a lot fitter today

Chillingham is a 5yo gelding trained by Edward Bethell is 3/8 wins on turf and is ground versatile and a two time winner over today's trip - comes here in good form having been beaten just 3/4l at Ripon in a class 2 last time out posting a near career high RPR of 104 behind a Sir Mark Prescott improving stayer - Took keen hold, in touch with leaders, smooth headway over 3f out, pressed leader over 2f out, briefly led over 1f out, no extra towards finish and looks primed to put in a big performance under Callum Rodriguez who rides well for Edward being 38/143 wins when combining and 69/143 placed if 10-1 or less and comes here unpenalised given the close proximity of last run and I can't see Chillingham being out of the frame in today's contest and looks excellent value at 17-2

This race wont take a lot of winning with last two years winners posting a RPR of 101 and going to chance Mrs John Harrington's Endless Pursuit on second start after UR on debut - she is a full sister to Mrs John Harrington's Ever Present who was 3/6 wins on the flat RPR 112 so was a class act and won on bumper debut at 25-1 posting a RPR of 119 so there is cause for optimism for Endless Pursuit - another reason to be optimistic is Mrs John Harrington had three winners yesterday 11-4 16-1 20-1 so her Endless Pursuit in my mind deserves serious consideration

Majestic Beauty a 3yo filly owned by Amo Racing Limited trained by Adrian Murray won first two starts (today's good ground) before narrow Listed defeat but not as good in Group 3's since but returns fresh on stable debut having left Alice Haynes yard and it's interesting that Amo Racing Limited and Alice Haynes won this race last year with Fix You who had run all her races outside Ireland and Majestic Beauty holds a similar profile to Fix You and evidently this race has been the long term plan for 3yo reappearance and offers us an opportunity to pick up a few quid off the miserable bookmakers

All previous winners of this race entered with racecourse experience all having run once and placed and run at Beverley (2) Newbury (2) and Newmarket (1) and Rashabar a colt trained by Brian Meehan fits the bill - a good 3/8 at Newbury on debut beaten 2.25l under todays jockey Tom Marquand and the 2/8 Star Anthem and 4/8 Running Queen have both won since which bodes well for Rashabars chances and as such is my short priced banker of the day

James Owen trains Forget The Way and he is an excellent dual purpose trainer and is 52 wins from 252 runners and has a 23.9% win strike rate in hurdle races and Forget The Way makes debut for the stable and Owens is 12/47 wins with first time stable switchers - Forget The Way last won off 105 on today's good ground under Tom Cannon and runs today off 101 with Mr Alex Chadwick taking off 7lb so looks well handicapped and conditions are suitable - Mr Alex Chadwick is also 11/46 win for James Owens so it looks like they mean business today

Radio Goo Goo a 4yo filly trained by David Evans is 5/26 wins and ground versatile - last win come at York off 86 and is 3lb lower today -2/2 wins at Chester and although there remains doubts about todays sharp 5f there are so many front runners in this race the pace could collapse and Radio Goo Goo can pick up the pieces and she also comes to hand this time of year winning three times in May in 2023

Butter Fingers a 3yo gelding trained by Michael Mulvany makes handicap debut off top weight on 62 having been unplaced in all three starts which doesn't say much about those below in the handicap - he is a full brother to Rough And Tough also trained by Michael Mulvany who won two handicaps over a 8.5f trip at Gowran Park (this track) off 55 and 62 on today's heavy ground - Butter Fingers could be feasible treated off 55 with Sean Birds 7lb claim on a trip and over ground which should suit and could be one to watch in the early betting exchanges

Up And Out a 6yo mare trained by Gordon Elliott is 0-14 over hurdles but has hit the crossbar on three occasions finishing runner up on good and good to yielding ground (today's going) and shaped well on reappearance after a 219 day absence finishing 3/13 off todays mark of 94 behind a progressive Miss Gherkin under Jack Kennedy - runs off 89 with the useful Jake Coen taking off 5lb Up And Out could finally break her duck for a stable who do well here winning 57 times at this track from last 227 runners
