This horse runs very well after a mini break with finishing positions of 3,2,2,2,3,1,1 since the start of 2021 and also runs well at this course with form figures of 5,2,1,3 and will love the ground conditions today. Trainer had an 80/1 4th of 11 with its last runner and that one was also coming back from a mini break. I'm hoping the trend continues and at 20/1 it's got to be worth a small e/w wager.

I'm confused why this one is the outsider of the field, run a close 3rd last time out to the dancing poet who races again here today and has a 4 lb pull with that horse. Has also won off an 8 lb higher mark and is 5 from 20 on the turf, plus won 3 times on good to firm ground, has a good piece of course form 3rd of 11, so can't really find any negatives here. I'm on at 20/1 e/w if all 8 go to post.

Looks to be following the same path as last year when having a prep race at Ascot 7th of 15 and then going on to win this race. This year he was 4th of 9 at Ascot and hopefully can go on to win this race again, and also carries the same weight of 9st 4 lb. Looks a sound e/w bet at 9/1.

A course winner over further than today's trip and will surely make the running here and try and run the opposition into the ground, officially rated the 2nd best horse in this race only 2 lb inferior to Zoffanien who looks badly out of form at the moment. I would be very surprised if this in form horse doesn't make the frame in this claiming race, and at 4/1 I'm going e/w to claim most my stake back should he finish 2nd or 3rd.

Just one really good piece of hurdles form to it's name and that was here in this race last year when finishing 2nd beaten just over half a length, that was after a long break of 5 months. Comes back here after 7 months break this time with the same jockey on board carrying 4 lb less and has the same ground conditions as last year, blinkers also go on for the first time, which I would hope will mean that connections are going for this, trainer also had a nice priced winner yesterday, so what's not to like and a tasty e/w price of 22/1 to go with it, looks great value with 4 places up for grabs.

It's last few runs are not as bad as the form figures suggests, and she now returns to the scene where she was 2nd in this race last year, beaten by only a neck, that was off a mark of 119 and is now down to 112. I can't see this going off at 40/1 and looks a great e/w bet.

I'm still hurting from yesterday's nap 25/1 shot, when falling when 6/4 in running, but we have to move on. Today's nap is D Day Arvalenreeva, the only CD winner in this field and runs off the same mark again today. I am a little concerned about the 185 day break, but the horse has not moved in the betting forecast this morning and the Trainers horses seem to be trying at the moment. D Day is only 7/1 but looks a decent e/w bet if all eight stand their ground, should at least place here and recover my stake with enough left over to buy my first pint tonight.

Jockey J J Slevin has a good record on this horse and has only ridden it 4 times with form figures of 3,3,1,4 all in big fields and including a CD win in this race last year off a mark of 83. The horse does run off a 5 lb higher mark here but is only a 7 year old, so improvement is not an impossibility and he did win this by 4 lengths last year. This does look an outstanding e/w bet at 25/1 with 4 places up for grabs.

Outclassed last time out, but three 2nd placings the time before that? has CD form with a 2nd of 17 off 103 and was 9th 19 last year off 109 runs off 106 here and has won off that mark in the past, not many in here much course form which gives the selection an edge over most of these. At 14/1 with 5 places available looks good value.

Has been very highly tried recently, but this track is his happy hunting ground having won here already and runner up on two other occasions from only three outings here. A very good 5 lb claimer booked to ride who is in good form having had two winners from his last 7 rides. Looks a solid e/w bet here especially with 4 places on offer and should at least fill one of them to recoup my stake should it not win.

Caught the eye last time out when 3rd of 6 in a muddling affair at Nottingham and should come on from that run, and is 8 lb below it's highest winning mark. Trainers horses are also in top form at the moment with 5 winners and 7 others placed from it's last 19 runners. I would be very surprised if this horse finishes outside the first three here and looks a good safe e/w bet to at 9/2 to recover practically all my stake should it not win

Finished off last season with a 3rd over CD , this is her first run of the season and is interesting to see that the trainer has opted to come back here with her. The stable had a winner here yesterday over 6 furlongs and this one also goes over 6 furlongs so you would think that they were both racing in pairs on the gallops recently and you only race horses in pairs with equal ability. Has taken a big walk in the market this morning from 4/1 out to 9/1, that is probably down to the fact that it's best form is on GF ground where he was 1st and 2nd in its last two outings, but looking back through the form book he was 2nd of 17 over five and a half furlongs at the stiff uphill finish at Bath. Regular Jockey Rowan Scott knows this horse well and has finished 2nd on four occasions from six handicap races, so looks a good e/w bet for me at the current odds, especially as the trainers horses are in good form at the moment

Here we go again the trainer saddles two in the race again, but I prefer the outsider of the two who is better handicapped, has finished 2nd and 3rd over CD off marks of 64 and 65 and races off 62 today. He caught the eye last time out when finishing 5th of 8 over CD when fluffing the start, in other words he wasn't trying to win. I wouldn't be surprised if the trainer has the 1st and 2nd again as they probably race together on the gallops. Only 5/1 here but I can't see it finishing outside the frame so I'm going e/w to recover my stake should it only get placed.

Drifted from 33s to 66s when finishing 2nd beaten a sh hd to another from the same stable over CD only 11 days ago, the 3rd horse was over 4 lengths further back and is ahead of our selection in the betting today ( mind boggling). The trainer saddles two in this race again and could again have 1st and 2nd. Our selection has drifted this morning from 4s out to 15/2 but that doesn't bother me as it drifted last time. When I was first introduced to racing as a young lad, our forefathers use to say to me, back the Cheltenham flops next time out young boy, and you won't go far wrong. The reason being is, that horses are usually cherry ripe to run at the festival and if they flop the trainer will usually find a race next time out to make amends and, they are usually a good price. Flight Deck was bang in there till two out and weakened quickly in a large field at Cheltenham, this is a lot easier today and the 25/1 on offer looks way too big.
