Thomas Tuchel is now the 5/2 favourite to take over at Manchester United next

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is now the 5/2 favourite to be the next Manchester United manager with bookmakers changing around the betting market once again.

Tuchel is set to depart Bayern this summer with the German giants announcing back in February that the club and manager decided to end their 'working relationship' at the end of the season.

Former Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has reportedly been chosen to take over at Bayern next and it could well be that we see Thomas Tuchel head to Old Trafford this summer.

German publication Kicker have said that Sir Jim Ratcliffe has asked about the chances of him signing for Manchester United in the summer to replace Erik ten Hag.

Paddy Power now have Tuchel as the 5/2 favourite in the betting market ahead of Gareth Southgate, with the England boss also linked to taking over at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag is under increasing pressure after a difficult year in charge at United

Current Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is under pressure in charge of the club after numerous heavy defeats in an inconsistent season in charge.

United's latest result summed their season up with relegation-threatened Burnley heading to Old Trafford to earn a point in a 1-1 draw where they were the better side.

Numerous reports in the last couple of months have hinted towards ten Hag being dismissed as manager by new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and it may well be the case.

Manchester United face Manchester City in the FA Cup Final later this month

Despite struggling in the Premier League this season, Manchester United will go up against Manchester City in the FA Cup Final later this month.

United faced City in the FA Cup Final last season with City winning 2-1 on the way to winning an historic treble helped by a 13 second goal by Ilkay Gundogan.

Erik ten Hag will be hoping to reverse that result this season with a win over Pep Guardiola and it will be the only chance of success that United have this year.
