Super Bowl Betting Markets

The most popular markets on the Super Bowl  are below. As soon as the teams are known the odds on these three markets will be published by the top online sportsbooks.

Odds will vary as the sportsbooks look to attract your bets.

MoneyLine

You just need to select the winner when using the money line odds.

A + sign in front of a figure just means that teams are the underdog and a - symbol means that team is the favourite.

La Rams -185

Cincinatti Bengals  +166

When placing a bet on the underdog (+) the figure after the + sign means your return for $100 bet.

When placing a bet on the favourite(-) you need to place a $185 to win $100.

You just need to decide which of the odds offer the best value and which team you think will win.

Points Spread

The Points Spread in the Super Bowl will have a + or - figure next to each side.

To win the bet you need to decide whether Team A will cover the point spread

LA Rams - 4 -110

Cincinatti Bengals + 4 -110

Team 1 would need to win the game by 5 points or more to cover the spread.

Team 2 would need the win the game or not lose by more than 3 points to cover the spread.

Totals

The oddsmakers create total points on the game, you have to decide whether that total will be over or under their figure.

Looking back to previous Super Bowl finals will give you clues on the average points totals.

The figures may read something like

Over 55.5 +200

Under 55.5 -200

Super Bowl Proposition Bets

A proposition bet is generally a side bet away from the main betting markets on something happening or not happening often unrelated to the final outcome.

Super Bowl MVP

One of the most popular prop bets is the Most Valuable Player. The Quarterback of the winning team has won the MVP 9 times in the last 12 years. In 2022 Matthew Stafford the LA Rams quarterback was the early favourite but wide receiver Cooper Kupp took the award.

There will be game prop bets and player prop bets, some examples we have highlighted below, but remember there are 000's, you must always remember to look for the "value" with these Super Bowl Prop Bets.
