Finished runner-up to Grey Dawning at Warwick, 3rd at Ascot & lto she ran in the NH Chase at the festival where she showed up well for a long way before not staying the trip. Faces her own sex today & id expect a much better showing.

Each way alternative in this against a strong looking favourite. Previous CD winner who followed up at Kelso prior to finishing 5th of 12 lto at Haydock. That suggested the handicapper has a hold of him off this mark but hopefully the return to this track can help him find a few pounds at a nice price

Stable yet to get going this season which is a slight cause of concern. Goes well with cut in the ground & was competitive enough off similar marks in 6f handicaps last season. Has been gelded over the winter & hopefully with Buick onboard he can kick the stables form into gear.

Much improved chaser who after scoring back-to-back wins at Catterick & Doncaster, finished runner-up again at Doncaster lto where he was held up quite a way back. Ground probably didn't suit that day & he should prefer this better ground. Up 2lb for that run but hopefully he can maintain his progress.

A few reputations on the line in this & whilst the Godolphin filly could be very useful id rather back something each way in this. A lot of her A O'Brien horses have tended to need a run this season so far so the filly who comes into this at a fair price with potential is this R Varian once raced winner. Won a minor maiden over CD back in Sept in a taking manner& that form was subsequently franked on a couple of occasions. Hopefully she'll of improved plenty over the winter to play a hand in the finish.

Still holds a 2000 guineas entry but that maybe a bit too ambitious. Should go well in this company however. Last season saw him get off the mark at the 3rd attempt easily winning a maiden at Thirsk prior to finishing runner-up in a Group 3 here in Sept beaten a shd. Faces different ground today but as long as he's raring to go I think he'll have too much for the Godolphin runner.

Racing off the same mark as when finishing runner-up on handicap debut in February at Ayr attempting to give 11lb to Eire Street (runs later on the card in a class 2). That run confirmed the promise he'd shown in a couple of novice events this season. Should be in the shakeup.

For me the classiest horse in the race though so far he's not shown himself to be the best of jumpers. Won last year's Irish National so stamina no issue. Easily beat Vanillier earlier this season trainer has even talked off him as a Gold Cup contender. Has had a nice 49 day break skipping Cheltenham which can only be a good thing. Many others I respect such as Corach Rambler, Meetingofthewaters, Mr Incredible & Panda Boy along with Kitty's Light who I've also backed ante post at 40/1. Hopefully with a clear round this 8yo shows his class.

Probably wasn't given the best of rides when losing her unbeaten record in the Mares Novice Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival when finishing runner-up to Golden Ace. Had to give 5lb that day so she's given another chance today to confirm the high regard her trainer holds her in. The 7lb allowance she gets in this could come in very useful.

I fancy 2 in this so going to put them both up. This one finished 3½ lengths Infront of his stablemate Ile Atlantique when finishing runner-up to the brilliant Ballyburn at the Cheltenham Festival & I see no reason why that form will be reversed especially with P Townend electing to ride this one. That was a big step up on previous runs so he does need to prove it wasn't a one-off but he certainly seemed to improve for the step up in trip that day.

Missing Cheltenham could well be a good move. Showed plenty of stamina when winning a grade 3 at Navan in Nov then ran poorly lto in Jan. Hasn't been seen since but that could be a blessing & he should enjoy this trip

My other selection in this. His trainer has mentioned this race as a target on more than one occasion & this flat track should suit him. Hoping he will lay up handy & he showed decent form twice this season in big handicaps around Leopardstown (another flat track). Ran in the same race at the Cheltenham Festival as Shakem Upharry & Life In The Park.

The 2 Irish runners at the front of the market make plenty of appeal for me so I'll be backing them both. This one finished 4th lto at the Cheltenham Festival behind Shakem Upharry & gets a bit of a weight pull today. That improved effort came with the fitting of a tongue-tie which is retained today. Won't mind any drying of the ground & granted luck in running could easily go well in this.

Going to take the chance that this 8yo is back on top form over this trip today. Has won over this track & hopefully he can get into a good rhythm jumping today. At his best he's certainly got the class to be better than these opponents & it was encouraging that Sir Gino won for the yard yesterday. No sign this morning of a drift & all being well he makes up for missing the Cheltenham Festival.

Looks ready for this step up in trip after a rallying 4th of 16 lto at Sandown in the Imperial Cup. Dropped 1lb for that effort & both career wins have come on heavy ground. Strictly held by Jango Baie on their running here over 2m on Boxing Day but the revised weights + this extra trip should help him reverse the form with that one. Solid each way chance.

Outsider of 5 who needs to find plenty on current form. Finished 6th behind Grey Dawning & Ginny's Destiny in the Turner's at Cheltenham beaten around 17 lengths but I feel this flatter track could well suit him better as will the ground. That could narrow the gap & in the Turner's he wasn't given a hard time once his jockey knew he had no chance. Has won a grade 2 & finished runner-up in a grade 1 this season & if there's going to be a shock in this, he could be the one to provide it. Speculative low stakes each way bet.
