Last years runner up. Finishing fast. He was ridden last year to get the trip with it being unknown. Now they know he gets th trip, they can ride him with confidence now and more prominent . Trained for the race in mind all season like most have tbf. Nice weight. Hard to envisage him being out the front 3 with some luck as they all need

Horse I can never catch right but have followed since his juvenile days. In those days he won the grade one here at Aintree. Since then he's been chasing but returned hurdling this season. Running well but took his form to a new level last month at Cheltenham. Winning the pertemps. 3 miles seems to be his bag now. He won easier than I first thought. His mark could still be within him and Aintree will suit him better than Cheltenham. Major chance

Like nearly all of Henderson horses, this lad missed Cheltenham. Would of gone very close if you ask me. 2/2 so far. On his last run he was doing all his best work at the end after doing plenty wrong. Would of learnt an awful lot from that run, so did nico. Hes a proper chaser in the making but I see him outstaying the lot in his final hurdle run .

A very talented but frustrating horse. Came over from France with a big reputation. Runs his heart out with a big weight nearly all the time. Always finds a few better handicapped. However these fences can be the making of him imo. I think he will really excel around them as he's such a fine jumper. It could really see him in his best light over what I think is the perfect trip for him. Fantastic each way chance with potential for more

Decent hurdler on his day. Followed that up with a half decent chase career so far.didnt. fire at Cheltenham. Jumped like a fridge. If he's in a better frame of mind here jumping wise. He definitely has a race like this on his radar massive player

Not much you all don't know about the journey of shishkin . Another who missed Cheltenham. Would of gone very close in the gold cup had he lined up. Won this last year. Different ground this year. While I don't think he's at his best on it, he certainly handles it. Hard to imagine him being out the placings. If he is in the right mood however. He will win this

Missed Cheltenham . The well documented issues at the Henderson yard. Would of won the triumph with ease . He's a potential superstar. And it's hard to imagine him being tested at all really here

3/8 as a chaser . Doesn't tell the full story as he had ran some mighty races in defeat . Not ground dependant but most importantly, he handles this ground well. 2 mile 3 on this ground is perfect.i fully expect him to go very close for a yard going well

Talented chaser. Was decent over hurdles but staying chasing is where he will excel. I fancied him for the national hunt chase but it was rush to get qualified and even though he did, it looks like this was the plan rather than the festival. This trip looks ideal for him, has a lovely mark , I believe he could be well in as from here he will kick on. So why not try win this now before grade one chases come calling. Ground no issue. Townend on . Ticks all the boxes
