The trainer has been patient with the 6yo mare. Just 8 starts over hurdles. Back-to-back wins this time last year, including on quicker ground. Just two runs this winter, a good 3rd behind a nice type last time out. I feel this £26K race would have been the target. Unexposed over this 20f trip but breeding does suggest she can improve for the trip, nice mark, and she’ll be fresh after a 3 month break.

She finished the year by winning two valuable conditions sales races, 15 and 22 runner races, her last win by 4L. She’s a previous 6f C/D winner who likes the quicker ground. Her opening handicap mark of 88 looks handy and there’s room for improvement after 6 months off the track.

The well beaten 3rd that day had previously been a close runner-up to a useful looking Nicholls runner, so the form seems decent. He looks set for a big run in this NHF bumper race.

‘Found A Fifty’ has had four hard Grade 1 races this winter and this could be one race too many. The selection has been off the track for 6 months for whatever reason, however, I don’t think top trainer Willie Mullins would be running him if he wasn’t fit and ready. The 7yo comes into the race after five wins in a row, 4 high RPR ratings and no doubt about his ability.

A smart 10yo who has 8 wins over fences. Solid form in the X-country races at Cheltenham and should be fine with this trip. Trained at the good Gordon Elliot yard. He seems in good shape, not beaten far in a quality hurdle race during Feb over a short trip, and it would have been a nice prep. In the two years prior to 2024 he had been rated between 165 and 168. His current mark of 155 should give him every chance.

An open looking Grade 1, 24.5f hurdle contest. The 7yo is lighty raced and progressing. He was only beaten a length last time out in a Grade 2, a first run over this kind of trip, and a race with plenty of the top staying horses involved. He was receiving some weight that day and will have to improve a little, but he’s going in the right direction.

The 7yo has gone chasing this campaign, five runs and progressing nicely. Beaten a length in a 15 runner contest during Nov. He was an easy 4L winner two starts back, well clear off the rest. Testing ground and higher grade not helping last time out, but he’s had a nice six week break and has every chance in this company.

He was sent off as the fav last time out, in a valuable 17 runner handicap, but he had a valid excuse for his poor showing. He was beaten under a length in his previous race, that form is very strong. Still on an attractive look mark and the 7yo is worth another chance.
