As with all of our slot game reviews it’s important that we go through the different features in the game so that we really get to grips with it before we play.
Thanks to our review we will go through Wanted Dead or a Wild’s theme as well as the different ways you can win in the game with the reels and paylines given further detail.
Theme – Western
The theme of Wanted Dead or a Wild is the standard Wild Western experience with Cowboys having duels on the reels, trains being robbed off it’s cash and other generic Western themes sprinkle on top.
The game’s loading screen shows a Cowboy with two revolvers, possibly ready for a duel of his own, and the splash screen shows you the three bonus features on the slot before you click into it, highlighting the intense Dead Man’s Hand spins.
Similar to most slot games the basic symbols in Wanted Dead or a Wild are 10, J, Q, K and A and the game also has different premium symbols with a Cowboy, Money bag, Whisky bottle and Revolver rounds all featuring in the premium spots on the payouts.
The standard wild symbol features in this slot with 5 of those in a line paying 20x. The wild symbol substitutes for all symbols apart from the bonus symbols and VS symbols.
Reels
Wanted Dead or a Wild features a 5x5 grid.
Paylines
There are 15 possible paylines in Wanted Dead or a Wild with a win landing if you match symbols from left to right on adjacent reels.
RTP
As always the important detail is the slot’s RTP and it’s no different with Wanted Dead or a Wild. The RTP in this game is 96.38x and that was calculated by simulating 10,000,000,000 rounds.
As always this percentage is not the same everywhere and online casinos often alter these figures according to their current policies. To spare you the trouble, we shared a list of UK casinos where you can play this game and the respective RTPs found there.
For an even more informed decision, we advise you to check our reviews and read about the casino's welcome bonuses and deals, game libraries, customer care, payment options, and other things available in each casino.

Stake Range
The stake range will always vary from different sites with some capping the stake at £20 due to it’s high volatility but the Hacksaw Gaming site varies stakes from 20p to £100.
Max Win
The Wanted Dead or a Wild online slot limits the maximum win at 12,500x the player’s bet.
Free Spins
Wanted Dead or a Wild has three different Free Spin features with The Great Train Robbery, Duel at Dawn and Dead Man’s Hand all being able to be landed with three of their own symbols.
The Great Train Robbery
is the basic Free Spins bonus which is a sticky wilds bonus game with 10 free spins. All landed wild symbols in this bonus remain sticky for the duration of the feature.
Duel at Dawn
is where the big payouts start to come into effect with three or more DUEL scatters triggering this bonus feature. This feature has more VS symbols in the game and landing them on every reel can ultimately land the Max Win. VS symbols can display any of the following multipliers: 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, 6X, 7X, 8X, 9X, 10X, 20X, 25X, 50X and 100X.
Dead Man’s Hand
is the biggest bonus of the three with the goal in this one to collect as many wilds and multipliers as possible in the initial stages of the feature. You get three spins to collect wilds and multipliers and every time you collect either of them this then resets the remaining spins to 3 until you go 3 non-winning spins in a row. When this happens the feature starts with the amount of wilds you’ve gained and the multiplier adding to your wins for three spins. This feature is the 2nd that can trigger a Max Win.
Jackpot
The Wanted Dead or a Wild online slot game doesn’t have a jackpot prize but has a big Max Win with 12,500x available to be won in a single spin.

Play Experience & First Impressions
My play experience of Wanted Dead or a Wild was a tough one with the session RTP in my 100 spins test one of the lowest I’ve ever had in these test sessions that we do on OLBG. Despite this I still liked the slot and graphically it was fantastic to play on with it’s speed of loading into the game great as well as an easy to navigate board.
There are no surprises in this game with every win that lands clear and obvious over what you’ll win in that spin and the VS symbols are a nice touch with those specific symbols adding to the potential of how much you can win.
My 36% RTP in my 100 spins session is of course very low in the scheme of things and you can tell how hard it is to land a win in this game with my win frequency very low. My biggest base game hit was 12x and that only happened because I got a 6x VS in the second reel to boost a 2x win up to 12x.
I didn’t land any of the three features in my 100 spins test which was a disappointment but it just goes to show how hard it is to get a bonus in these high volatility games and Wanted Dead or a Wild is no different.
