Edwards became just the second UK UFC Champion after Michael Bisping
Leon Edwards became just the second UFC Champion hailing out of the United Kingdom on Saturday with his win.
Michael Bisping was the first, winning the UFC Middleweight belt in June 2016 against Luke Rockhold.
Bisping stepped in on 17 days notice to fight Rockhold and ended up shocking the world by winning the belt.
Edwards was 33/1 to win at the time of the KO
Before the fight against Kamaru Usman on Saturday, some bookmakers were giving odds of around 14/1 that Edwards would win by KO.
Leon Edwards odds just to win the fight was 3/1 and he came against all odds to win by KO in the final round.
In-play betting put Edwards odds of 33/1 at the time of the fight to win, with Usman well in control of the fight.
All three judges had Usman 39-37 up at the time of the knockout.
At the time of Edwards KO, the Birmingham fighter was around 33/1 in-play to win the fight.
