Mick Lynch is 5/1 to appear in the I'm A Celebrity jungle this year!

RMT leader Mick Lynch is just 5/1 to swap the picket lines for the I'm A Celebrity jungle later this year, according to the latest odds from OLBG.

The union firebrand has shot to fame during the national rail strikes for his straight-talking rebuke of the likes of Piers Morgan, Kay Burley and politicians, is tipped to be in demand for a number of this year's big reality shows.

There are also odds of 6/1 suggesting he could make an appearance on the Masked Singer and 12/1 quoted about him stepping onto the Strictly dancefloor.

It looks like there will be a whole host of opportunities for Lynch throughout the rest of the year.

There are a whole host of specials around what Lynch does next

Although he'd have to make alternative travel arrangements to attend, it's 8/1 Lynch emulates Jeremy Corbyn and pops up to speak at the Glastonbury Festival this weekend.

Londoner Lynch is 50/1 to land this year's Christmas Number One Single, with shorter odds of 33/1 offered about him making a trip to Buckingham Palace for a Knighthood or any other New Year honour.

Some pundits have suggested Lynch is currently providing the real opposition to PM Boris Johnson at the moment, and with the Labour leader wavering in terms of fully supporting the action, it's also 100/1 the RMT man replaces Kier Starmer as the next leader of the party.

However, in chilling news for commuters and industries impacted by the industrial action, the most likely outcome of all is further strikes this year, as it's odds-on at 1/2 that the RMT walk out again this year.

OLBG spokesperson gives information about Lynch's odds

An OLBG spokesperson said: "Straight-talking RMT boss Lynch has shot to fame this week and the betting suggests that when the strikes end, it may not be the last time we see him on our TV screens.

"Union boss Lynch is tipped to swap the picket lines for Bushtucker trial with a stint Down Under in the Celebrity Jungle later this year, whilst him donning his dancing shoes as a Strictly contestant can't be ruled out either.

"If Lynch is dreaming of a strike Christmas, it's 50/1 he lands this year's Christmas Number One single, with shorter odds of 33/1 offered about him landing a knighthood or other gong for his work for the trade union movement.

"In terms of what comes next once this week's strikes are over, the betting should come as a stark warning to the commuting public as it's odds-on at 1/2 that the RMT walk out again this year."
