Kylian Mbappe is now 7/2 to win the award after winning the Golden Boot at the 2022 World Cup with a hat-trick in the Final against Argentina sealing the Top Scorer trophy with 8 goals.
If it wasn't for Messi winning his first World Cup, we'd likely see Mbappe as the odds on favourite to win the award this year but he's out to 7/2 to win it.
The French forward has never been in the top 3 for the award but we may well see it happen this year if he continues with his fantastic form going into a new year.
