OLBG Inter-University Student Tipster Competition

Postby Each-Way Queen » Tue Sep 20, 2011 10:11 am

Students - OLBG has got together with some top bookies to bring you a new competition specifically for uni students. Currently the comps are sponsored in rotation by 888, Victor Chandler and bet365 so we suggest you open accounts with each of these bookies via these links so you can also claim free bets for opening the accounts.

You can join the uni comp herewith your .ac.uk student email address, then add your usernames to mybookies so we can credit your accounts if (when!) you win a prize.

More info:

Get a Tipster team of 5+ together to represent your Uni and compete against rival Unis. We give out prizes totalling £250 worth of free bets every month to the top Student Tipster teams.

Not only will you compete against other Unis, you will also compete with the other tipsters in the overall competition and be eligible to share in the £3,000 monthly cash prizes.

***Top Tipster Cash Jackpot
***

The top performing Tipster in the top performing Uni each month wins a special cash payout equal to £1 for every member of that Uni team that has made a tip that month (active member).

So if there are 10 active members you get £10 or if there are 200 you get £200.

The more active members you have in your team the more you could win. So use your Unique Refer a Friend Code and tell your friends about the comp. You'll find this on your status page once you are logged in. Use this code whenever you post about the competition and earn £1 for every member who signs up.

When you register, you are automatically placed in the correct Uni team based on your email address.

Teams must have a minimum of 5 members to compete.

At the start of each month, you’ll be given £1,000 of play money to make virtual bets. You choose what you want to bet on and at what stake. We’ll top your account up with £100 daily so you won’t run out.

1. Registeran account here
2. Nominate a Username & Password
3. Enter your Uni issued .AC.UK email address
4. Accept the Ts&Cs that you are 18+

Although I'm too old to compete, am I too old to complain that you've got the name of my uni wrong, well I assume you have anyway.

I assume that "City of London" is supposed to be City University. In which case there is no "of London" in the title. A common but annoying mistake.

Another great comp though, just wish it was around in the mid 90's....

Cheers

Oh sorry Jimmy
We actually just closed this as hardly anyone was playing - I guess students these days actually do some work

Are you still able to access stuff about the Unis comp because it should be gone - if so where is it?

Probably more the case they prefer to spend their grants (Do they still get those or am I really showing my age) on alcohol & parties, I did

Don't forget it is the summer hols so I guess they're all off travelling or working to pay off their overdraft. May be worth pushing it more in Sept/Oct when they all go back.

It's under the Tipster Comp drop down under the Fun Tables.

Sure their's plenty of graduates on here who would welcome the chance to represent their uni, might be a way to boost numbers & encourage more entrants, just a thought.

Jimmy
