Britain has nine world champions, a number of interim title holders and several highly ranked challengers waiting for their shot.
It seems that the little old UK is possibly the hottest hotbed of champions anywhere in the world. But why is it and why now?
The amateur scene and the GB program have had a huge influence but many champions have come from a different route, and now the domestic scene is seriously competitive.

Is this a high point in British boxing and why?

You are right bmt, at the moment Britain has to be one of the hotbeds of world boxing in the current climate, not quite the high point of Eubanks, Benn, Watson and Collins in my opinion but still a high point all the same.Plus with Mayweather and Pacman (soon) off the scene the likes of Brook and Khan should continue to promote that. I think it would be highlighted greater how well our boxers were doing if some title fights were free to view instead of PPV cutting off a lot of main stream fans and those fans losing interest
