----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. TOP ENGLISH GOLFER?
2. TOP 10 FINISH?
3. WHAT WILL THE CUT BE THIS YEAR?
4. WINNING MARGIN AT THE END OF 72 HOLES?
TIEBREAKER: CORRECTLY GUESS HOW MANY BIRDIES THE WINNER OF THE 2017 US OPEN WILL HAVE OVER 72 HOLES
QUESTION RULES & CONDITIONS:
Question 1: Pick who will finish as the Top English golfer in the 117th U.S. Open Championship (20 Points)
14 English golfers will tee it up this week at Erin Hills -
Justin Rose
Paul Casey
Matt Fitzpatrick
Lee Westwood
Tyrrell Hatton
Ross Fisher
Danny Willett
Tommy Fleetwood
Eddie Pepperell
Chris Wood
Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston
Matt Wallace
Aaron Rai
Scott Gregory
20 points if you select the player who finishes as Top English, if two players finish on the same 72 hole total then both will be classed as a winner for 20 points.
Question 2: Pick a player that you think will finish inside the Top 10 in the U.S. Open (20 Points)
Defending Champion Dustin Johnson has three consecutive Top 10 finishes in the U.S. Open…
Name any player in the 149 man field who you think will finish inside the Top 10 after 72 holes play at Erin Hills Golf Club. If any number of golfers tie for 10th there will be no dead heat rule, it will be classed as a Top 10 finish for 20 points.
Question 3: What total/number will the cut be after 36 holes this year? (10 Points)
The cut at last year’s U.S. Open was +6 and in 2015 at Chambers Bay the cut was +5!
What score will make the weekend? What number will the cut be and remember the ten shot rule in the majors!
Question 4: What will the winning margin be at the end of 72 holes? (10 Points)
Dustin Johnson won by three shots last year at Oakmont, the year before he finished one shot behind Jordan Spieth at Chambers Bay.
What will the margin be this year? If after 72 holes there is a sudden death 18 hole play-off then the Monday play-off will be classed as a 0 shot margin so when entering put 0 for Question 4.
Tiebreaker: Correctly guess the total number of birdies the winner of this year’s U.S. Open will make over the four days (72 holes) at Erin Hills Golf Club.
Dustin Johnson had 11 birdies last year at Oakmont, Shane Lowry who entered the last round with the outright lead had 14 in total.
How many birdies will this year’s winner have over the 72 holes?
The tiebreaker will only kick in if we can't find a point’s winner at the end of the tournament. The nearest guess will be deemed the winner and in the event of the tiebreaker not finding the winner, the prize will go to the OLBG member who posted their entry first.)
Prizes:
