The Sha Tin racecourse is located in the Sha Tin district of Hong Kong and is probably one of the most picturesque racecourses in the world.
Sha Tin which was opened in 1978 is only one of two racetracks in Hong Kong, Happy Valley is the other.
The complex not only features both turf and dirt tracks but also features an Equine Hospital, Swimming Pool and 20 stables that can fit 1,260 horses.
The inner-dirt track is just under a mile in circumference and features racing from 6f up to 1m4f.
The turf track is roughly 9.5f in circumference, it features two chutes, one on the home straight which means races over a straight 5f and one on the back straight too for races over 9f or less.
